I imagine the corals would kinda work like the bridges in the Shore where they'd break if someone is standing on them for too long or if too many people are on them. The middle of the biome would contain a higher concentration of corals but fewer rocky islands, whereas the sides would contain a lot more islands. This way players can choose between the risky but faster route or the safe but slower one. Some corals would also poison/injure you.
I don't know how the water could work within the limits of swedish coding, though. I wouldn't want them to add a new status effect just for drowning or whatever, maybe you can "swim" in the water but it drains your stamina super fast and when your stamina hits zero you start taking Injury damage? Might be a bit too convoluted, I don't know.
Adding waves that actually move around the map might be too much for the engine, but it'd be nice if there was a way to make the rocky islands foamy and wet from time to time so that you could slip and fall into the water if you're not careful. Whirlpools would also be nice and easy to implement. They'd prevent players from simply swimming anywhere they want with enough healing items.

The same as Caldera. Just add some new textures for the temple to better fit the aesthetics. A volcano being next to a coral reef doesn't really break my immersion (like say a cold Caldera variant would), but ideally you'd also replace the Kiln with a new biome: THE COVE.
That way you can also replace the temple with a pirate ship, that'd be sick.

Over the course of the last 2 decades I played vidya with roughly 10 different people I know irl.
Be it party games, WoW, amogus, CS2, whatever.

And even though most of them did not know each other and had reasonably different characters, it was not fun with a single one of them.
I will never understand the appeal to play with friends and I refuse to do so for a few years now. It just always ends in one of us having more fun than the other and then ditching.

My idea is Courtyard and the Keep
>Courtyard is a giant hedge maze where the ground is covered in thorny vines. It floods occasionally, allowing you to cross large areas albeit slowly; this is the opposite of Caldera where you can only cross when the lava is lowered
>The Keep is a castle tower similar to Kiln. Hot rocks are replaced with more vines and maybe jellyfish, and the lava is replaced with The Darkness™ (which operates the same way, except it applies cold or poison when you touch it). There is a section midway up where you can't progress on the inside and have to climb around the outside of the tower

Courtyard is kinda weak, but I'm quite fond of the castle idea.

Funny enough I hate the mushrooms that make the big spore clouds rather than the beetles and zombies. There was a Roots variance in the last cycle that spawned roughly 7 or 8 of those things next to one another and it made this dense as fuck smog that was basically impossible to navigate. The idea of climbing a tower/castle does sound very sick but I feel like Peak should mostly stick to natural environments with only some human-made structures like the Tomb, mineshafts, and the temple. New weather effect: Storm.
The storm causes lightning to strike at the ground. If a lightning bolt hits a scout, he will receive some Injury damage along with a new affliction: Shock. The damage received will depend on how close the scout was to the center of the AoE. Carrying certain items like the Parasol will make the lighting more likely to target your scout. This would mean that a scout carrying the Ancient Idol would not only make the biome easier for himself, but also for his friends by acting as a lightning rod. Shock status heals slightly faster than Poison and makes your scout randomly ragdoll every now and then, but comes with the added benefit of making you move faster while you're affected by it.

I play Ready or Not with bots. Even with the squad AI that can't engage past 20 yards, I cannot imagine actual fucking idiots making this game easier. We tried it once with SWAT 4 and what I learned is that I can at least rely on the AI team to throw flashbangs through the doorway and not bounce it off the frame back to us every fucking time.

Ready or not is actually a shit game
We were looking for something to replace GTFO, since we 100%'d it, and this was one of the biggest disappointments we've had, it's a fucking garbage game past the first 20m of play time

The game design is trash, it's filled with pointless shit that's just there to waste your time and bring you nothing as a player, the fact that the TTK is so low while also having no way to bring anyone back, nor even give them anything to do in the meantime is fucking retarded, the maps are all way too fucking small while at the same time giving you absolutely shit objectives to find (we spent more time looking for the last few hostages every single time than we spent shooting at niggers)
Honestly looks 8/10 but turned out to be a 4/10

Play barotrauma instead, was insanely fun
