some bullshit "meditation" created by a dude in Japan in the 80's
>Watsu is a form of water therapy, which is also called hydrotherapy. It involves stretches, massages, and acupressure in warm water.
>Generally, Watsu therapy is used to alleviate pain and discomfort caused by a range of ailments. The idea is that the resistance of water soothes physical tension and encourages relaxation, which supports overall health.

Even worse, most of the time these retards are also completely tone-deaf and have no clue on how to help their patients outside of practically just being some mental wellness coach. It's absolutely the worst for someone who might suffer from long term issues like recurring depression or other poorly treatable issues. You have someone straight off the bench of their studies thrown into the deep end of the worst problems many people could face and then they assume they can help someone with the life experience of a toddler. I never jived in any way with shrinks who were young as shit. They are naively optimistic, their shiny education and building a stable life already making them poor judges of characters in the first place. My shrink is in his 50's got into the profession after he went through the worst type of crisis in his life and he was head and shoulders above the rest solely because of that. The worst part is that instead of him being the gold standard for the industry, it's usually the inherently stable normies instead.

Residency teaches you jack shit on how to handle psychological trauma or personal growth. It's why my shrink used to say he learned practically nothing except technicalities, industry and medical jargon and that's about it. He has a background in neurochemistry, so his 4-year residency basically had him go through it all with flying colors due to already having experience with clinical depression in both his life and an assortment of patients. It's honestly kind of same as with a ton of other fields.

As someone who recently dropped the therapy bullshit it's worse than that. It's you pouring your heart out for 45 minutes only for them to go "lol so? Youre choosing to feel that way!" While then yelling at you for asking them questions and explaining what the fuck they are talking about.

I'll give you some vague rhetoric you never asked for.
Your feelings are yours. People are cyclical machines, so whatever you feed into yourself such as negativity becomes stronger. The rich people in control of the world right now are in their positions of power because they have fed themselves nothing but re-affirming positivity for their goals and sacrificed their human soul (empathy). They also count on moral people like you or I to keep feeling pessimistic and stuck in our own inner worlds and cycles of negativity so that they can continue to manipulate without repercussion.
They do not FEAR repercussion because they have taught themselves not to fear anything, thus they're completely unhinged, smiling automatons who always move forward even when it would be stupid to ignore the warnings.
Take a bit of that, but keep your morals and you'll wind up a much better person.

What a load of crap. Everyone knows what their problem is, they just don't care. Annoying parents or grannies? They know they're cunts, they just don't care. Cunt bosses? They are well aware that they are cunts. Are you fat? Then lose the gut. Can't get hot puss? Lose the gut. Can't get a job? Live somewhere else where the jobmarket is better. As they say, problems are easy to identify, it's the solutions that are hard.

The two worst kind of people end up as shrinks:
>Graduate with fancy diploma and your life has consisted of living a golden spoon up your ass so you're completely deaf and blind to the plight of an average person.

a small irl link to me is with music, my first solo gig i went to came from music i found in games.
Played DMC:Donte may cri, loved the ost and found combichrist who worked on the OST was coming to my town so i got tickets and went. Fucking amazing night
Next one was Sleeping dogs, a couple songs on the radio stood out to me and i checked to see if any of my favourites were preforming, sure enough blood red shoes was, bonus for the scott pilgrim link too
Friend gifted me Max Payne 3: got to see Health live from that too,
Played Saints row 2, same as sleeping dogs that one Deftones song was always hitting me really well in the ear and suddenly i booked summer time tickets to see them live this year

Games have been so disappointing lately that i started making my own.
Decided to start with UI cause i fucking hate when a UI takes more than 0.0001 seconds to open/load.
This took me like 10 hours to do. Ive only taken a basic intro to python course so im sure its bad but im going to spemd another 10 hours refining it and see what happens.
Btw version control is very important.

Soon I'll be ready for my first slam session, I can't fucking wait.

Thats often because they get told to go to a therapist, then they go to a psychiatrist because they dont know better, dont do any analysis, dont do anything besides basic level diagnostics and then go damn therapy sucks, time to change. And then they go to the actual therapist somehow.
Like seriously, this happens so much its baffling. Therapists, with actual therapy, do their job. They cant even try to give you medicine, thats a psych thing, and even so you can just not take ssris.

Basic calculus? Derivatives are pretty easy once you understand the basic rules and the important functions, integrals are more annoying and require you to memorize them so make sure to practice more. I personally like to learn from examples so looking at solved problems and graphs helped me out a lot.
For joining a company you really need networking, try to get in contact with former alumni that joined big companies. Talking to professors and older students helps a lot as well.

Yes. This piece of shit was so fucking buggy the devs literally started cutting out cards they couldn't fix. Once my beloved Archangel of Tithes bit the dust, I decided that I will become part of QA, my younger self foolishly thinking that QA has anything to do with the bugs getting fixed. Regardless, since there's no gamedev where I live, I got into regular software QA and then quickly progressed, spending the next 7-8 years in a cozy cybersecurity position.
All MTG games are still buggy skinnerbox pieces of shit to this day, but at least I made good money and met some cool dudes at my gig

Look at the actual diploma the guy in OP is holding. It says "University of Phoenix". That's one of those bullshit online colleges that runs ads on late night TV. It's a diploma mill and any employer who knows anything about the University of Phoenix won't take his diploma seriously.
It makes for a silly clickbait gamer article but chances are this guy never became a real therapist and is either a NEET or working somewhere like a Starbucks.

Another fun fact-behavioral scientists are worse at motivating people than an average person or a coin flip

The medical industry as a whole has allowed itself to become the paid agent of the pharmaceuticals industry, and have reduced themselves to the level of drug pushers. It's no surprise then that trust in the medical industry is at an all-time low.

You say this while videogame writers are blatant propagandists and manipulators. Writers are egotists who see themselves as gods and attempt to force the world to change to their whims. I see Maruki's writing as the ultimate form of projection from a writer. Jap otaku writers do not even fucking speak to people, but they still think they can make sweeping declarations on how society should be. Therapists however actually fucking talk to people, one by one instead of trying to just fucking manipulate them the way a propaganda writer would.

Real talk that's the genuine danger of people like him. We call people like that gods. But Maruki isn't. He's flawed. He has a very skewed view of what makes life 'perfect'. It's not just bringing people back from the dead, it's making a life of zero strife. Humans can't live like that with no conflict, we'd get bored. Plus Maruki is definitely fucking with people's brains 'for the greater good' and making them OKAY with this.
I know it feels cheap but death is part of the human condition. I always got the feeling that the people Maruki brought back weren't actually them but some... simulacrum of a person that is that idealized version. It may look like them, it may sound like them, but it doesn't have their soul. Which is an actual thing in the SMT and Persona universes.

Money men back in the 1970s realized that doctors can make pretty good money, and they have to have the degree to get training and get licensed, so they slowly boiled the costs of the programs until most US programs are now $100k-$200k a year. By the time the medical student graduates from medical school alone, the new doctor has paid, or taken loans in the neighborhood of $400k-$800k. That's on top of undergraduate costs.
Those doctors now have to chase money and max patients per hour if they ever want to hope to be able to pay off their student debt and own their homes by age 50.
This leads into what >>737080941 said, and doctors have allowed themselves to be captured, hook line and sinker by money men.

Yes and no.
Yes because mental healing takes a very long time, but no because therapy gives people feedback and answers that their mind wouldn't normally come up with without decades of self reflection.
A really close and personal friend has the same effect, but not everyone has a friend like that, and so they need a professional.

I had to RCT one of my tooth because it snapped in half. Not only installing it is a pain in the ass and super expensive (I could buy two gaming laptops with the money). It also gave me various headache for 15 years because turns out it required so much maintenance and I don't have the money anymore. I decided to just pull the teeth 6 months ago and my life has never been happier.
Btw it snapped in half because I went to THREE dentists complaining about toothache but nobody can identify the problem, then the third dentist decided to just clean the tartars off my mouth and we found out my tooth was actually cracked when she snapped it in two. Great.
tl;dr listen to your parents when they told you to brush your teeth. you're a conspiracy theorist? don't use the paste, but you HAVE to brush them no matter what.

Not every drunk is a fountain of untapped hidden wisdom. And not everyone is Catholic. With random old guys aside from hoping they're knowledgeable, you also have to find one thats not too drunk to speak. Catholic priests might be better but you have to remember that the ultimate solution for them is God. They have experience with dealing with helping the community but they probably aren't prepared to deal with more special cases. Therapists are usually people who are a better learned in the field of mental illness and might have encountered people with your same issue, and if they haven't they can at least refer you to someone else through the network who might be able to help you.
