Very solid SRPG, plays like Ogre Battle with more control over units' actions if you've ever played that. Pretty long game as well with a good amount of content. It is a Vanillaware game though so there's a lot of conflicting game systems that make one scratch their head. And like most SRPGs the difficulty of the AI just cannot hold up past the beginning parts so if you're smart you definitely have to self-nerf to avoid stomping the whole game. Story is whatever, estranged prince has to take back the lands from evil guy. But the characters and dialogue I found quite good. Gorgeous game and the soundtrack is amazing as well. 8/10 for me for sure but I love Ogre Battle.

The romance is limited but who you choose does become important for the True End of the game.
So while it does factor who you pick into the game's final scenario, something most RPGs with romance hardly ever do, the flirting is minimal since it's a gameplay focused game than a narrative/story focused one.

But also too easy to even discuss the gameplay parts of it. If you even have a slight sense of strategy and target priority then it is incredibly simple to make multiple formations to break the game even on the highest difficulty.
