It is pretty fucking funny how much money was 'spent' on Claude Plays Pokemon when all it got was a small circlejerk of degenerates from here watching a monkey talk itself in circles all day.
But at the same time it was great as a metric for tracking AI cognitive development. Better than the mathlete competitions or obscure 'benchmarks' that tell you nothing.
Seeing the Claude AI manage to go from getting stuck in Mt. Moon to making it all the way to Victory Road, chunk by chunk, was interesting. I don't know if the Claude AI is smarter or just better at avoiding logical loops, but it was still something fascinating.
