Win10 LTSC here. RTX3060

I get a RE ENGINE crash, saying graphics card is unsupported. Can't play the demo either, forcing dx11 doesn't work.

Elden Ring and Monster Hunter famously worked on Linux OoTB and didn't on windows.
Being a translation layer means there's more opportunities to add stability
>>
>>737099658
Sounds like an OS problem but I wouldn't recommend Win11

It uses DirectStorage, for one. Are you running IoT, which doesn't have it?
>>
>>737093221
That's a windows error message. Linux plays it just fine, lmao.
>>
>>737100446
Runs fine on Windows here, lestalin.

Why did you install OS for ATM on your home PC?

you ran out of denuvo token, you literally have to wait 24 hours to play your """""owned""""" game kek
>>
That's what you get for buying denuvo.

>>737100278
Still? There's not a single game where DirectStorage helped.

>>737101995
There's plenty of games where DirectStorage helped, but you're likely thinking it's there to improve load times like a retard.
>>
>>737102025
Which is why you posted them.
>>
>>737093270
Funny thing is that he had twice that for Tomodachi Life just before it.
>>
>>737100923
Switched to cachyos from windows 2 months ago. Every single game has better performance. Better frame times, better input latency, better audio latency, even has less packet loss somehow. Winblows is dead to me forever.
>>
>>737102084
Do you know what it does?
>>
>>737092939
i had the same thing when i booted it first time, then it worked on the second time
>>
>>737102152
Look, you posted them again.
>>
>>737092939
That's a denuvo error
>>
>>737102209
So your answer is no. Directstorage is used in 70%+ of modern games these days. Stuff like Diablo 4, Pragmata, Madden 26, Helldivers 2, or FF7 Rebirth would have horrible levels of LoD and mipmap popin without it.
>g-g-goyslop
Whatever you think of the games, the technology improves the rendering capability. Being able to load assets directly into VRAM is huge.
>>
Imagine playing the toaster experience in 2026.
>>
>>737102356
You mean the games known for horrible LoD and mipmap pop-in. Cool, thanks ChatGPT.
>>
>>737102530
That's just what I had installed currently. No, none of those games have those issues except on systems that don't meet the requirements. You're the type of fag to run Windows 10 IoT and bitch about stuttering in games, knowing full well you kneecapped yourself with an OS that's missing key updates.
Thanks for proving you're an absolute liar like every other poorfag on this board. Don't @ me, liar. It'll just be another lie.
>>
>>737099658
it's probably your gpu, I also have LTSC and it's working fine. nvidia released drivers for pragmata yesterday so check if they have that for yours
>>
>>737102614
Thanks Claude, now back to shilling Intel and Nvidia at /g/ you go.
>>
>>737100278
I'm running IoT and was able to play just fine.

W10 and all of its latest releases which includes IoT version 21H2 supports DirectStorage.

Don't know what are you smoking about but if you're thinking anon would see any tangible difference in how W11 handles it and how W10 IoT handles it you're a retard.

The problem is somewhere else and your GPT-sperging about things you don't understand doesn't help.

For once, full DirectStorage supports only works under very specific scenarios, which needs the user to have:
>W11
>NVME SSD
>DX12 GPU

on top of the game having actually implemented it well.
Also can't speak for those other games you said but HellDivers 2 doesn't have direct storage.
