Eh just take away the better alternatives to force a market for it, nothing new.

only way i can weigh in on this is that there's nothing worse than enjoying yourself on the PC/console or whatever, and the power goes out. imagine if microsoft were in charge of that.

they'd take note of which nights you enjoy using your electricity the most, set your time limit to end then, forcing you to re-up on a premium package "electricity bank" that would reinstate it immediately but be cost-inefficient to your current needs (eg you only have 1 personal hour left tonight but are paying for 10), as well as leave unused "credit" within the system.

this is what their idea of cloud gaming is. this is why xbox is a dying brand
