the same games i played before switching aside from LoL. i do not miss that game btw

i am thankful i never got into competitive pvp games
that sounds like hell
>>
>>737131843
i enjoyed the more casual stuff LoL has to offer like ARAM and URF which is the only reason i played.
>>
>>737131475
I've been playing Lost Castle 2 with a friend and Night Striker Gear by myself.
I'm so glad I "switched" to linux when Windows 11 decided to destroy its own installation and make itself unbootable with an update.

only complain I now have is the fact that I cant bypass denuvo in linux

Same.

It is truly the port being coded by a literal rat, every time you get a particle effect expect drops to the 20s, nothing you can do about it.
>>737131475
Lots of games. To name a few:
>Umineko
Not really a game but the story, characters and VA is stupid leves of good.
>Rhythm Doctor
frustrating at times but really cool mechanics. Cutscenes can drag though.
>RE4R
hate lots of things about this game and post modernism, but the gameplaty is just peak so I play it from time to time.
Fuck you OG RE4 purist, I love it and played for 300HS at least and know every bit of it, but both are in their own way
>DMC3 with crimson mod
I never enjoyed DMC3 as much, I love the new mechanics and 120fps.

I just beat RE0 and got the S rank
still like the game a lot, but I'm willing to admit part of that is just nostalgia

Why not. Streaming from a gaming PC is pretty good for Steam Deck too if you're on local network. Massive battery life benefits.

I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles on Eden Emulator and some FGs, although I still can't find a way to get the Dead or Alive 6 campaign cutscenes to work on Proton. I don't know what Koei did, but they fucked up the cutscenes on newer Proton versions.

You would have to forget about mods.
Multiplayer aspect is also mostly dead, unlike SotFS where you can still get invaded or find messages or summon signs.
If you simply care about killing all the bosses it's really not much different aside of enemy placement and cock blocking statues.
There are different bugs if you care about using resins on already enchanted weapons.
You also access the DLC differently in the base game.

Every single time when faced with undeniable proof that linux is a paraplegic OS unable to achieve the most rudimentary of tasks, the linux troons retreats to his safe haven:
>why would you want to do this, just don't do it. Problem solved! Linux wins again, best OS choice!
>>
>>737140502
no retard, linux is capable of doing that
but it gets much fucking harder to do so when all its problems are external and seething over linux not letting them spy on users

>>737141267
there was once a time like 20 or so years ago where websites would warn you about the dangers of spyware and rootkits and other nasty stuff that could hack your computer by taking full control of it
then as time went on windows became spyware, your browser became spyware, and you started installing those rootkits on your pc
now they're no longer called malware because malware is normalized
take a step back and think "am i running something that would normally be classified as malware but because i paid for it i give them the benefit of the doubt?"
>>
>>737140502
>Every single time when faced with undeniable proof that linux is a paraplegic OS unable to achieve the most rudimentary of tasks
Because you can't run Fortnite, Battlefield 6, and Apex on it?
>>
>>737141413
Was there ever any documented instance of Fortnite stealing and/or leaking your private information, allowing a malicious agent to take over your computer, or joining your PC into a botnet? Is there any proof at all of any malicious action or intent with these anti-cheating measures?
>>
>>737141580
Seems pretty rudimentary, they're just games.
>>
>>737141658
ah fortnite
yeah definitely classify that as malware
ok so you may think to yourself "just because they have ring 0 access to my pc doesn't mean they're using it maliciously"
the problem, and if you've ever played apex legends you'll remember this being a problem
but having ring 0 access to your computer is creating a security hole which can be controlled by hackers
linux prevents this and runs eac in a sandbox, but if a developer decides they don't want to support linux youre just kind of sol. it demands full control over your pc and if you have that you have keys to the kingdom
>>
>>737141760
they're just games that have spyware that embeds itself as deep as it can and linux doesn't allow that security violation
why are you such fucking goy cattle that you side with the big corpos over your own fucking privacy?
>>
>>737141803
>but having ring 0 access to your computer is creating a security hole which can be controlled by hackers
Was there ever any documented instance of a hacker abusing the ring 0 security hole because of a game's anti-cheat solution? Fortnite has been around for a decade, surely it happened at least once?
>>
>>737141760
What's the point of pretending like Linux can't run games over the few that are deliberately kept from running on the OS?
>>

>>
>>737142007
How is this in any way relevant to the discussion? I asked a simple question, has there ever been any instance of a hacker abusing the ring 0 security hole created by a game's anti-cheat software?
>>
>>737142084
>what's wrong with letting someone else having kernel level access?
again, why don't you dox yourself? you have nothing to fear, right?
or are you such a fucking fetus alphoomer that you're not worried about the humiliation ritual because it lets you do six seven skibidi victory royale fanum tax?
>>
>>737131475
Pragmata
>>
>>737142064
and now in your impotent seething you think "j-just dox yourself now, idiot!" is some sort of gotcha, how predictable.
You guys seem to know a lot about this so it's curious how you're unable to provide any concrete proof or examples of a malicious actor exploiting easy anticheat "rootkit". It's been around for a long time now, surely someone would find a way to abuse the security holes by now, wouldn't they? I would even accept mossad finding muzzies through discord but that's not a rootkit or an anti-cheat solution now is it.
>>
Just finished MGS1 for the first time. Was very kino. Onto MGS2. Otherwise, same as usual. I never played anything that needed kernel anticheat, so switching back in 2024 hasn't affected me in any way, except that I have way more control over audio routing (multiple pairs of headphones and an exernal audio interface etc.) via pipewire/wireplumber.

>>
>>737142582
You are still yet to provide a single instance of this spyware taking effect or explaining what information it's stealing. I'm beginning to think you're just parroting vague nonsense you heard on reddit with confidence and expecting everyone to just nod
>>
>>737140502
>paraplegic OS unable to achieve the most rudimentary of tasks
I agree that telling people to shut up about their use case is one of the shitty things that Linux users do, it's not paraplegic for a lot of common uses, though multiplayer gaming, art (Maya, PS and so on) and office work (specifically MS Office) is still inferior to Windows for lack of official support.
>>737141760
It's up to the publisher to allow it, not the OS: https://areweanticheatyet.com/
>>
>>737142734
the fact that you're giving nuance to spyware like this shows how worthless your opinion is
you're cattle, end of
>>
>>737142923

>>
>>737141906
apex legends in 2024 had an RCE found though EA denies it was the anticheat, just the game being exploited
>>
>>737142000
NTA but EGS was caught phoning home with a record of all the UE games (including non-Epic) and Steam games you had, potentially including porn games. Also a record of any dev kits you had installed, which might be even more suspicious potentially.

I just asked you a simple question, and all you did was throw 500 empty insults and retarded projections in response. All you had to was provide a single example confirming your thesis. You are unable to do it because you both don't have a clue what you're talking about, and because you know you're full of shit. It's up to the OS too, since nobody doing work on the Linux kernel is gonna include some retarded anti-cheat kernel module. Running anti-cheat inside wine is the same as not having kernel level anti-cheat at all, so publishers don't want to do it - they want root access to your PC.
