From what I understand you should decide your initial 8 chars who want the highest medal level and bring them to clear each league, the other reserves who didn't clear from the first league will be fucked out of max level.
Although you may want to hold of on clearing first so you wheel back and farm the missions on the easier leagues. I'm just grinding my gandolfo/kiriha while waiting till the guides update so I don't brick myself

If you like grinding and want this game to consume your life (in a good way) for like a month, sure.you get a decent amount of free pulls and gems. 1/20 legendary rate. You get at least one pick a legendary now. I started day 1 and rolled very little and I have a good team. A lot of your progress is based on getting good weapons from junk which is all luck and the infinite grind in this game. Many people play with whoever they want and it does work if you have the right classes. Also they release alternate styles so if you only invest into one you can get really strong.

I like the announcer but they didn't tune any of the content for me (post A4 true end, low spender). They needed another league between elite (early A4) and hero (huge whales).

if you really, absolutely want to keep lana as a knight, someone like chloe with a lot of disciplines performs just as well if not possibly better. i use both as fighters and there's a good deal of overlap (fire element, good alignment, same class change options etc.) with chloe having more SP.

Lana's value is in her row buff and autoheal passive which makes her valuable for farming, which is 90% of the overall gameplay, and also where knights provide the least value (still completely usable though)
I used Lana as Knight until mid A4 though since I wanted to hit level cap before class changing and she was doing fine, although when I switched to fighter she was doing noticeably higher damage. You can switch classes earlier if you don't really care about max level autism, she only needs the survival passives from knight
