The only time I've worried about AMs was for abyssal speed clears, everything else in the game is still easy. Unless you really want your Bunny or someone else from the mid tiers to compete with the high tiers, then they're just a nice bonus.
Though I say all this without having played with the buffed numbers, so I imagine it's only getting easier.

Not even concerned with existing content, you didn't need to use AMs at all to clear. But, critical hit damage is going to end up being the only stat people look for if they keep using sync values as the balance lever. This applies to both casual mobbing bullshit and bossing in all future content in onslaught is any indication. If you're playing a descendant with a bad base critical rate you might as well just wait for a rebalance or get comfortable in reset purgatory crit fishing for speed kills.

With the buffs to synchronization on AM, stats on a bunch of characters can be rolled way higher now. Which means crit is going to be the best increase in dps for characters even with 5% base Crit like Freyna or Esiemo. Until today, that wasn't the case. Freyna can get up to 40-45 Crit rate now with a perfect AM, previously it was like 30.

I will not play the new mode.
