she is a situational valiant. her 'Q' is very useful in maps with tons of verticality (like Crescent Bay) and not so much in flat maps (like Mojave).
'E' and the ultimate are pretty much cqc abilities, which in turn make her ideal for close quarters.

I fear shotguns will be hard to re-buff, between people having ptsd from s1 shotguns (despite part of their peak strength being a BUG) and the "i'm an aim trainer grinder and shotguns are for shitters, they shouldn't be in shooters to begin with!" sentiments some regulars have.

I think the best thing they could do is limit most of the attachments for the universal shotguns and simply limit each to having a specific role with clearly defined effective areas.
For example, the Home Defender should be the exclusive slug shotgun. It should essentially be a primary version of the m28 that trades being able to rapid fire for having a high skill ceiling tracking moving targets by having a slower projectile. From there, you can easily tweak.

I still play Wild Assault because the furry characters in combination with Battlefield style gameplay scratches an itch that I haven't been able to satisfy anywhere else.
The Snep is cool, but I was having fun with her instant air, fast grapple during the "testing" phase, and they took that away. Her grapple is slow and boring now. Her Ult is kinda OP in that it's basically "escape or you'll die" with the window to react being slim. The Silence is practically useless; Turning off abilities at close range isn't as effective as disarming someone entirely. Norman's roar, which does opposite, is way more useful for getting the jump an unsuspecting foe. So, overall, Snep's power is weighted heavily in favor of her Ult and being able to get the drop on a group.

Just curious, do people actually play this game? I bought this game on sale when it launched on Steam. For the few matches I played, players were terrible, incompetent at shooters I must say. Are matches filled with bots or something? I wanna know how active the player base is in Asia or wherever the game was made.

Can only truly speak for US servers, where during prime time you can get some solid lobbies, even more so on weekends. Not too uncommon to see stuff like 6v6+ which immediately feels way more lively than 1v1 bot genocide sessions, had a 8v9 last weekend and it was kino. Usually some players on even in degen hours.
I've tried asia despite the ping, not prime time but always had a few players which seems promising. Pretty sure prime time might be good, prepare for insanely aspergic meta slavery thoughbeit.
EU is pretty dead outside of prime time, in part because a handful of ultra autists playing 24/7 for muh leaderboard playing in the most cunty way possible, I've heard. They've genuinely chased a lot of EU players to US servers, and been temp banned for exploiting several times.
South america is barren. People tell players that want bot games for achievements to go SA, that's how dead it is.

This is a 20v20 hero shooter with anthropomorphic animal characters. No singleplayer mode and you can join matches together with friends

I do enjoy this game, the one time of day that I play it. My issue is that it seems that everyone who plays this is good. Like "world champion" good. I honestly don't want to sweat more than a workout just trying to play a match to relax. So I end up just avoiding players entirely and just playing against bots. People tell me that I won't get better unless I go up against real people. Well, I won't get better getting destroyed every match against real people because they can accurately predict every single interaction down to the second.
I hope for more players so I don't have only sweats to deal with.

Probably desperate to keep what few whales they have left.
I've mostly given up after the first week of the current season. I only log in to do the bare minimum for new skins, and if there's nothing to unlock I just don't play. When I do play I don't go out of my way to perform and actively dodge lobbies I don't want to deal w/.
It's not even the cheaters that killed my interest, it's the shitty gameplay direction the internal test team has forced for 3 seasons now. I used to play very heavily and I'm sure some probably considered me a sweat kek. I also played well enough to get the attention of most of the US East darlings. I'm just very tired of playing the same small handful of people that only farm on the same small handful of meta guns and characters. Most of the people I enjoyed playing w/ and against are gone too. I can't even get 10 man lobbies during weekend primetime anymore.
Kinda ironic, that depsite its own problems, season 1 is probably the best EA version of the game we'll ever see. The magic's gone.

This annoys me. All they need to be significantly improved is as little as 10m more effective range. I get people have ptsd from s1 shotties but that was caused by a literal bug, and access to attachements that gave 20m+ extra range. At LEAST make slugs work properly on guns that aren't Ryan's autoshotty. Balance them seperately, the double barrel should have better range and damage than the pump for example. Heavy ammo already gives different range for different guns, if needed jyst make destroyer silencer give +10m instead of +20m.
But it's simple

I do think S1 shotguns and PKP needed to be reigned in a bit, but they went overboard. The AA-12 only being avaible on Ryan now and post-tank nerf bears having no shotguns at all is a fucking joke too.
They had to make room for the noclip dive and Assault farm b/c the test chinks said the game was too slow. It's also why they repeatedly kicked the Expert class in the nuts. I hate how retard-proof the meta has been since S2.
I tried playing the new season earlier, but had to keep dodging a premade of the usual metakeks.
Just duel AK/M4/Galil snep/tiger/fox and PPSh/Ump jank rabbits til EoS :^)

That the people whom the developers go to bat for, that carry endorsements for gaming gear, which they advertise in-matches, and whom have played quite strangely including firing into the air and managing to headshot someone on the other side of the map. They avoid directly engaging objectives and players, while camping scopes, the whole match. Either that or aggressively spawn camp on a meta AR/SMG.
Maybe it's particularly bad right now b/c the season is fresh and they're farming for the ladder(kek)? Even got stuck w/ a panda that did nothing but farm from near spawn every match. It's fucking boring and I miss having big, mixed fights.

The fun has been lost. All that most people care about is score with the higher, the better. I ran into some people who just play "for fun" and I honestly don't know how they still can do that. I would love to play just for fun, but the other players make that almost impossible.

I think the devs deserve the lion's share of the blame for the game's failure, but certain player cliques didn't do it any favors either. They know who they are too, but continue to chase people away.

I'd still rather fight bots than most of these players. Nothing against them, but I really, really don't want to play a match against people who spend 8 to 10 hours a day, 5 days a week or more, just grinding themselves into absolute perfection. If they enjoy that, good for them. I just don't want to play against them because that's like trying to break down a brick wall with a toothpick. You can be determined and never give up, but I guarantee that that wall is not going to come down anytime soon. I honestly believe they should add a Ranked mode so these people can hash it out among themselves for tops spots and leave casual matches for people who just want to play casually and not be the best of the best constantly.
I was a little harsh on the community. I met some great people in the community who I am glad to know. They help me out when they can and I do actually have fun with them around. But most of the time, I'm on my own and it's not so fun going up against these omega level players. When you have a team that backs you up, sure. By yourself? No. I welcome the PvE as hopefully, it will be decent enough to provide some much needed relief from the repetitive god players.

Tweak matchmaking to prioritize actually filling lobbies instead of spreading everyone into tiny groups across several fresh lobbies. Even if it results in somewhat longer queues. It's not like waiting 2 minutes or so will kill anyone at this point. I even have to wait for 2+ minutes sometimes in Deadlock's Brawl, but at least the match is full like it's intended to be.
Either that or give us a browser for standard matches, like they had in the earliest tests. They're clearly capable of making one, see: Custom Rooms.
Problem is that it's an issue that's been repeatedly pointed out to them, along with suggested fixes, but they've largely ignored it. Since ~Season 2, any feedback that doesn't come from their test team goes nowhere. Unfortunately, the game has a mountain of self-inflicted issues now.
Take the most recent Q&A with them claiming to want feedback on ttk and combat pacing. Send out a fucking survey then, instead of just pretending to address it.
I get that their lack of resources has gotten worse, but they need to find the skillset and mindset to save this thing. It feels like they've been just kinda flailing around since the mediocre EA launch. They're running out of runway and I don't think it can survive a bad pve launch.

So many of the issues that arise due to the mostly bot matches are either absent or mitigated substantially when it becomes mostly real players. For example, Norman isn't nearly as oppressive since he can't easily farm heals from clumps of bots. Medics fulfilling their medic role becomes much more important since you can't just respawn and run all the way back to a point bypassing or slaughtering all the bots. Having Jacks around to mark enemies is useful since every enemy is a real threat and tracking their positions matters. And so on and so forth.

Exactly. The game starts to play like it was built from the ground up to be. Pseudo combined arms w/ different characters and weapons performing different roles that complement each other. It creates reasonable opportunities for the power meta picks and playstyles to be properly contained and punished(some of the farmers don't like that, but oh well).
It was a much more enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, w/ the deteriorated playerbase and how MM functions, you almost never see it now. I haven't seen even a half-full lobby in months. I had a few w/ ~15 people total the first few days of this season, that was it. Conquest is even more dead kek.

With matches that are mostly or all, real players they lose that type advantage. Plus, with more people, they may lose their spot on the leader board. I wonder how many of them could remain unbeatable if everyone was a real person? I suspect only some could, but most would get crushed.

I would like to try them, but I am too fucking scared to. Every player in this game is flawless, except me. I'm likely the worst player in the entire game so I just avoid all players as if my damn life depended on it.
I try to have a positive attitude about it, but I get so pissed because I have no chance, even against a single player so I usually just bail out of the match until I'm only against bots. When everyone is getting 10 to 15 kills every 5 seconds, I'm out.
I want to enjoy the game, but I'm having an extremely hard time.

I swear the tards that think current LMGs are the strongest guns in the game only engage bots. They get mogged by the meta ARs and SMGs on players, outside of rare chokepoint and protracted long-range engagements. Even then, there's a good chance you'll just get dived by snep, croc, fox, or ulting tiger.

I don't mind going against people. My issue is going against people who spend 8 to 10 hours a day, almost every day, grinding themselves to near perfection. I only play the game in my off time and would like to have a damn chance, but when going against such players, you have none. So I will probably sit this out.

It's going to be a time before I go back into this game and play her again, however. I guess the 1 year anniversary brought all the assholes out because they were in full force today. Calling people "No skill noobs" and saying that people needed to "uninstall the game and kill themselves." Funny, they all were TTV players so streamers, the worst kind of filth. I can deal with banter, but this was nearly relentless so I'm taking a break from the game until they crawl back into the hole they emerged from.
