Katars are alright in pvp, but they suck cocks in pve

the main issue with katars is that every katar is dogshit until you get to sapphite or golemfist
then they're great for damage, but they still come with the tradeoff of being a high commitment weapon, when a precise dex deathknight runeblade or fier blade gets the job done just fine while simultaneously letting you take advantage of bandit's mobility giving you the ability to charge while zooming around evading attacks. the weapon is significantly better on both of the other classes instead of the class it's designed for.
of course both of these problems will be fixed once the dev gets off his ass and adds more weapons and skills, so really the only thing i think that really needs a change is the mastery jump attack, but that comes at the risk of making it a fucking stupid weapon in pvp so it's fine as it is. a tiny little aoe when you land with it or giving the option for an alternative jump angle for shredding big enemies would be nice i guess.

anon if you buff with signet/rage and debuff with killer jab/taunt you will shit on fucking everything in the game with katar charge attacks it ain't even close, the damage is actually retarded

defense reduction is linear, not percentage based, which means any debuff scales like fucking crazy with higher multihit attacks and katar charges have a shitload of hits and charge fast as fuck

Yes, your saves are plain text documents you can easily edit with notepad. Always make a backup just in case. Online is p2p and there is a lobby browser with categories and a rudimentary search function. Some lobbies may have passwords. 'Pork Bun' is the /vg/vm/ lobby. iirc the /trash/ lobby is 'Fugbox' or something like that.
