Artifact of Accumulation. Time (therefore difficulty) increases with each item from each player. By default it's actually really ball breaking, so I made every item tier picked up only increases time by 10 seconds.

I spent the last seven hours trying to fix up an old version of EWI only to realize I fucked something up in hour 2. Fuck IL instruction coding, fuck hopoo, fuck randy, fuck worms, and FUCK Arraign. Here's to tomorrow.
Basically I want to make it so the Heretic items are never granted to enemies, and I want the item blacklist to accept string values (PortableReactor instead of 253) so as to avoid the problem of shifting item ids when item mods are added or mods that have hidden items for functionality purposes. The old EWI has better item distribution; I'm sorry Anreol if you ever read this, it just does. I spent a lot of time trying to match nu-EWI's distribution to Basil's old one using only the config, but it doesn't work the same on a foundational level (0 to the current stage * item gen cap * item multiplier). That formula is as good as gold, just needs to stop in the womb vis-a-vis Heretic items and the config needs to accept string names. Here's to tomorrow.

I don't think they're gonna slow down anytime soon, now that the Gearbox team actually knows what they're doing. Randy wants to make his money back ASAP. Also keep in mind we went from Hopoo's relatively small team to a team of nearly fifty people, so the pace picking up was to be expected, for better or worse. We'll probably get one expansion per year until they inevitably decide to make Risky 3.

Not sure, the gamemode is still pretty early along so it'll be a few months before it actually comes out apparently. All we know is the go to Deadlock info guy is saying it's 1:1 Risk of Rain with new map(s) for the game and everything, and that since Hopoo is working on some big stuff, it's almost certainly this.

But if you don't want to do that, get either Survivors of the Void or Alloyed Collective. Seekers of the Storm isn't bad in its current state but it does by far the least to actually leave an impact on how you play the game besides adding a few broken items to the item pool. Compared to the other two, it's very underwhelming.

On stage 1 specifically it takes 0 director credits to be generated. You can skip it and the flow of stage 1 would be identical to pre-SotS, with the only difference being the shrine serving as a small piece of cover.

Operator is a fun ranged combo character.
Drifter has some neat gimmicks with being able to throw things but is kind of painful because of her lack of consistent ranged options.
Void Fiend is notoriously the most ass survivor to play in the game, and straight up needs mods to be remotely playable.
