mobs in maze scale with your level. people mostly do lv1 maze alts because it scales the bosses down as well so with a strong weapon you can kill the bosses in 1 hit (and the enemies don't do enough damage to kill you if you have hp armor).

you dont need a lv1 really. any bowgun character is good enough for maze. just dont get hit and you should be fine (will probably die in 1 hit if you do get hit on a non lv1 though)
