>Consular has demonstrated a deep understanding of the Force.
Actually, they demonstrated a deep connection to the Force, which is not the same as an understanding (going back to their introductions). In the Consular's opening cutscene, Yuon sends you out against the Flesh Raiders because you're "A Padawan who's stronger in the force at four years old, than I (Yuon) was at fifteen", which is the same "raw unearned power" that you described the Knight having. Even more markedly so, because it's not likely that the Knight was defeating his lightsaber instructors at age 4. Even Arcann wasn't beating Knights of Zakuul until he was probably older than 10.
>Anakin was also more powerful than most Jedi Masters
The Consular is closer in Force potential to Anakin then the Knight, but the Knight is closer in combat ability to Anakin than the Consular. Neither of them are idiots like Anakin, but yes, Consular has more education.

I stopped subbing after Ossus, and from how badly Mandalorians got shilled in these past few expansions, I'm glad I didn't continue subbing. I fucking hate Mandalorians, and that Heta Kol bitch looks fucking dumb. Not to mentionShae's DUMBASS breaking Malgus out of prison. That shit pissed me off.

Odd, I don't think I've ever gotten this bug before, and I've taken several characters through here. I have the wrong enemy on nathema. This character was light side and helped the republic, but I have the dark side/imperial loyalist enemy. It's supposed to be Watcher 2 here.
But this is a beneficial bug you might say, since I feel bad for Watcher 2, and my character doesn't even know who this guy is (he's from the novels, which is such an odd choice lol).

Wish we would just time travel to the point where we get a 2nd shot at GS7 rewards.
All I want is to remake the BH I tried to be back then in SW Galaxies. Mind you I only tried, I had no idea what the fuck I was doing and I only remember paying all my credits for a helmet like the one on the left. The right is cool too though. I just wanna bounty hunt but not be a Mando Orc.

Still insane to me how someone on the writing team managed to convince everyone that vitiate wasnt completely pure evil and basically a dark side entity who is known to eat literal planets but instead was a guy who was secretly raising a wife and kids and making a theocratic dictatorship utopia that was just better than everyone else. Also he fr fr loved his wife lmao kotfe and kotet were such fucking garbage.
>oh yea ziost when i took over the planet with the force and then ate it

people,
can someone post cool scenery screens from swtor when you play it?
in particular i would be grateful for that view of a huge (i think it was huge) building your main quest takes you after you finish tython, on that first planet i forgot the name of .
i remember there were some gear npcs on left and right sides before you get close to the building
+
in the building itself on both left and right are some quest givers and bunch of other gear npcs selling stuff
and i think that is the building where you go when you finish you main quest to play out some scene

Yeah, I played it once, it was decent and makes you feel like you are actually fighting for Empire to be better at times.

For those that played SWTOR way back when.
How did companion work back then, I read somewhere that their classes/roles were fixed, which sounds maybe hard for certain player classes to be stuck without a healer or tank. And how was the combat then?
>>
File: MuyID703ei.jpg (172.4 KB)

>>2330927
It was way harder and you also needed to get equipment for your companion's stats. And yeah they had fixed classes, Quinn was a healer for example which is why I couldn't bench him, sadly. Also story bosses could be reall challenging if you are your companion weren't geared and levelled enough. And you usually weren't levelled enough if you didn't do most side quests.
Now you can basically skin everything but the main story and beat the final story boss naked while your companion is away crafting shit.

I don't know man. This isn't 2011. It's not even really a AAA game anymore.. It's held up by Broadsword and we're lucky that they're even putting a ton of effort into it (probably a bunch of boomers who grew up with it, thank god). I think we all need to pipe down our expectations. Once the game is fully realized in DX12 and beyond this game will be able to have better content and quicker updates.. At least I hope so.

question
would you guys rather have swtor be in its own self contained canon/universe separate from the main star wars films? or still have it connected?
>>
>>2338630
i also forgot to include this as well
if they were self contained, they can go off and write whatever they want without limits. the other choice, they would have to carefully follow all lore based off of the future of star wars lore
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2338630
>would you guys rather have swtor be in its own self contained canon/universe separate from the main star wars films?
Sure, I don't care about Star Wars films, not even OT, much less ST.
I don't like the concept of rule of two post Darth Bane sith also, I think SWTOR sith, despite rather cheap mmo writing, actually are portrayed more logically (SOMETIMES, not always). Somebody like Lord Paladius who uses charisma and charm makes more sense to me than dark robes clad brooding dark space mages who are cruel for x random reasons. Or rather, sith "passion" should manifest in more ways and diverse ways.

Honorary imperial reporting in.
>>
>>
>>2338630
It already is separate. swtor goes by the old canon of how lightsabers work, and how the force is a trait you're born with. Disney has already said lightsaber crystals change with you, and that you can just try really hard and use the force. These are some fundamentals of how the setting works too, not random small nitpicks.
Theron tried to use the force, had good teachers, and is a generally smart and hardworking guy and could not use the force because he was not born with it. So disney saying that Sabine just believed really hard and could use it is shitting on him directly lol.
>>
>>2339251
It's not really against old canon that everybody has the Force, they just have varying potential to use it. So any random moisture farmer can start dedicating his life to the Force and at the end of all training he might be able to move some pebbles with his mind but not much else
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2338907
>Sure, I don't care about Star Wars films, not even OT, much less ST.
i think it's fascinating that there's some people who play swtor and even met some people in swg that don't even watch or even like the star wars films just like the games which doesn't even make sense but whatever
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2340407
In Star Wars, written by George Lucas, potential in the force is an ascribed status from birth, and it does not fluctuate. If a random moisture farmer can move a pebble, it's because he was strong enough in the force to move the pebble, he just didn't know that he was capable until he was taught how to do it. He didn't gain the ability to move the pebble through education, he was born with it or without it, and the only thing you did was tell him to try. You didn't give him the ability to do it.
Under Filoni, that has fundamentally changed, and now you can just learn a lot and try really hard and you can suddenly force push people, even if you've been friends with multiple jedi for decades who never sensed force potential in you before.
>>2341411
Midichlorians are a measurable indicator of force potential, but whether they are causal was never stated. Midichlorians being drawn to people with strong force potential, or high midichlorians causing someone to have high force potential are both possible with what is stated in the films.
>>
>>2341433
>Midichlorians are a measurable indicator of force potential, but whether they are causal was never stated.
but in legends you had to be born with a level of midichlorians though at least how it finna worked back then but now its diff.
>>
>>
>>2341436
I don't know what you want me to say. I already answered your question in the post you're responding it. Midichlorians being drawn to people with strong force potential, or high midichlorians causing someone to have high force potential are both possible with what is stated in the films. Midichlorians are a measurable indicator of force potential, but we do not know if they are causal. Yes, as has already been stated, you had to be born with a certain amount of midiclhlorians in order to be strong in the force, OR you are a certain strength in the force and thus you are born with a lot of midichlorians because they are drawn to that trait. We are not told whether they are causal. But they are correlated.
Under Filoni, he changed this by having Sabine force push people when she had previously not been force sensitive, which does fundamentally change things.
>>
>>2341471
>Midichlorians being drawn to people with strong force potential, or high midichlorians causing someone to have high force potential are both possible with what is stated in the films.
i disagree. in legends, if you don't have midichlorians you cannot wield force powers.
>>
>>2341476
It doens't matter if you disagree, and Legends consistently follows what Lucas said on this matter, so I'm not even sure where you're getting your impression from.
You're also not even disagreeing. A person with no midichlorians can't use the force. Obviously, that is what I have already said, twice. But what I have pointed out to you is that Lucas never actually stated whether midichlorians cause high force potential, or that they're drawn to people who have high force potential. Someone with no midichlorians can't use the force, or someone who can't use the force won't have any midichlorians are both possibly the case according to what Lucas said in TPM and supplementary interviews. in other words, we don't know whether low force potential causes a lack of midichlorians, or whether low midichlorians causes a lack of force potential. We just know that yes, low midichlorains and low force potential are correlated.
>>
>>
>>
>>2341502
George did leave out whether it was causal, and I just explained that. He did establish that they are correlated and thus midichlorian count can measure a person's force potential, but he never stated the detail of which causes which. It may not matter in practice, but it's important to not say stuff like "lack of midichlorians causes a lack of force potential", since you don't actually know that, since according to George it's also possible that a lack of force potential causes a lack of midichlorians; the other way around.
I'm just letting you know that the relationship is not established to be causal either way, we don't know which comes first. This isn't an important distinction in most of the stories that have mentioned midichlorians since msot of them that I've read have just use it as a measurement, which is fine since that is what Lucas established it's good for. But when discussing the topic in theory like we are now, it is important to be clear.
>>
>>2341520
in lucas's explanation midichlorians aren't just a neutral measurement...they're described as the biological mechanism that allows the connection to the force and jedi use the count to identify innate sensitivtry.. even if he didn't speull out a formal "a causes B" equation, the system in the films treat midichlorian level as inherent and determining force potential not just a side effect.. so functionally it isn't treated as a bi directional unknown in canon...

It would better if those classes were just not tied to the class stories (despite the name), so you can pick either. In fact, class shit seems just one instant when mmo mechanics effect the story in stupid ways. All too common. Like realistically sith (and jedi) would rely on their space magic the most and then probably learn to shoot laser and pilot ships. Sword fighting not being THAT important. But that's settings stupidity seeping in as well.

They already deleted the mini-questline to get your advanced class when they changed it that you start at level one as a mercenary, sith assassin, ect instead of bounty hunter, trooper and so on.
I still hate that.
>>
>>
>>2359333
Yeah, well, they also removed/cut some end quest dialogues for heroic missions. They auto finish, and at best you get a one off line from the heroic quest giver. And that was done years ago, and I maintain it was a bad choice. There should be two options - turn in items by dialogue and then finish, or just auto finish like it is now.
