sweet, a new general
not sure if it will survive, but thanks. I picked up the game a few days ago, was having a blast. I keep getting fucking DC'd trying to do Descent so I haven't been able to kill that Nemesis faggot. 10 rounds so far, furthest I made it was Loop 6 only to get swarmed by enemies out of nowhere
>>
>>2444631
It's /vm/ there's no way it won't survive, this is the board where "dead" games go for their generals.
More on topic, just got done with the Kitsunigger lamp grind and the patch you get is pretty cool but it was kind of a pain with all the bugs not letting you toggle the lamps and stuff.

different kind of proto gear farm
>start an escalation mission, tier 10 for max drops but burns through tokens
>fast travel and activate a lantern
>go back to escalation mission area
>kill stuff while you're standing inside the mission area box, enemies don't have to be inside the box, just you
>killing much weaker kitsunebis drop protos
>repeat
>>
>>2445033
Huh didn't even know about this farm but it looks a little overcomplicated without a group in the know, I just run the escalations normally.
But anyhow I just did them now because the event ends in a few days and I'll be busy after tomorrow, can't just save them forever.

ongoing directive, a pretty fun dps build that buffs your entire team since with every kill on marked enemies everyone gets half their mag with hollow points
everyone and their mum runs the bluescreen exotic LMG because of the mag size and status proc on demand. Another choice would be the Carnage named LMG, it has Perfect Sadist talent which gives you amped 35% weapon damage on bleeding enemies
just slap the sadist talent on anything you like, a big mag would make it a lot more comfy to use. I usually keep a big mag LMG like stoner or GR9 as a secondary to store hollowpoints to reproc if needed

Got 8 levels just doing Descent before leaving. I didn't win. But all my stuff was pathetically weak, so I equipped everything of level. I'm still going through the story, but now everything is so pathetically easy. There's no tense combat like before. Is it because I crossed over that level 30 barrier? Because a bunch of stuff popped up all of a sudden.
Also shotguns SUCK. they must've been nerfed at one point.
>>
>>2452981
You're just getting started out, also Descent is kinda like that if you're not stacking the correct buffs. You need to get beyond 40 for the real grind to start and then for starters get the meme set everyone runs (striker) and an equalizer or similar named piece, after you have a basic endgame build ready you should start doing better on descent, people usually play in challenging/heroic as it gives you better rewards so you can fill your library or get a good piece of a gear set you might be looking for.
>>
>>
>>2453008
>>2453089
>starting out
i figured so. I was just complaining about how easy it is all of a sudden. still, I'm looking forward to when the game gets difficult again. I'm still doing the main quest, helping the Settlement dudes now and savedthe President. Sure hope nothing bad happens to him...
>basic endgame build ready you should start doing better on descent
I thought you couldn't take anything with you in Descent? Whenever I enter it, It strips me down and I'm stuck using whatever RNG gives me.
>>
>>2453142
Yeah I'm retarded, for a moment I thought descent took your armor sets into account and forgot to remove that bit.
But dw the game gets harder and more compelling soon as you get to lvl 40 and the endgame grind begins, might be a little overwhelming and it becomes a number crunching game after that if you're alright with that sorta gameplay.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2453142
Not worth it imo
I leveled to 30, realized I was sick and tired of missing out on the kitsunebi shit, also missing out on a bunch of builds and systems that regrinding entire sets only felt off
I also enjoy theorycrafting so missing out on buildcraft and specs was something im.glad I didn't deprive myself of
Also fuck the spec research for gunner
>Pop all that armored guys armor before killing him
Holy tedious I tried 3 guns and 3 difficulties and the deagle on challenging was the best balance of precision, popping armor before I procd carpal tunnel, and the dude not accidentally being killed too fuckin fast
>>
>>
>>2454809
It just outperforms everything else, even tipping scales just falls behind despite being a cool concept, in a game where damage is king and even with high armor a simple fart can take you to 1 HP there isn't much else you can do other than CC/Healing. All roads lead to striker.

Pretty much everything except arguably escalation can be soloed, not considering missions like countdown or raids (not many and all the gear is obtainable somewhere else) which are structured around teamplay.

It's been days since i last played and I miss it, stuck having to wage.
I'm very upset at how shit the characters and character creation is in this game. I don't want big titties and wide hips, though I wouldn't object to it. But I'd love to have non-freakish creatures as options. I love my white-haired, ebony kweens, but I had to make some... teenage looking white girl. It physically pains me.

I got confused when you said D2 because I was going to say Division 2 killed itself with Esc*l*tion and Pr*t*type. I realized you meant Destiny 2. Anyway, there's a quick rundown from the Y8S2 PTS stream yesterday on reddit, but the patch notes are coming later today.
>Escalation Tokens will not be reset at the end of the season.
>They are not happy with the token rewards for the host and the guests during an Escalation mission. Especially since the host risks all the tokens. They will change the formula how much reward the host will get in season 2.
>The number of tokens per tier will also be re-evaluated so that it is easier to climb the tiers and less painful should you fail.
>Because of popular demand, with Season 2, Prototype items will drop again from loot crates in missions. They’ve reworked the system and it will return as intended feature.
>Prototype Recalibration and Optimization is still work in progress and will be added to the game once it is ready.

Not going to post the entire qrd since it's a lot, but there's also info about the seasonal modifiers and PvP balancing.
>Y8S2 is called Into the Dark and will center around the Hyenas and the Dark Zones.
>With Year 8 Season 2 the Dark Zones get an overhaul, new rule sets and new experiences. The there is still a weekly rotation that is happening, so you can experience all three as PVE Dark Zone at some point.
PVE Dark Zone
>As of now, this feature is only present during Season 2 – when the response is good, it might return.
>The goal is to give players that are not fan of PVP the option to experience the Dark Zone
>The PVE Dark Zone is also more in-line with the experience they want to have during Season 2
>With all the changes that are being made to PVP, it gives players the option to familiarize themselves with the layout of the Dark Zones and prepare themselves for the real encounters.
>The enemies will scale based on the number of players currently in the Dark Zone
>You can’t go rogue
>Hunters will spawn at the Extraction Zone – and their numbers will increase based around the numbers of players in the Extraction Zone.
Normalized Dark Zone
>SHD Rank is not applied
>Expertise is not applied
>More equal footing between new and veteran players
>200% Increased DZ Currency
>Because the SHD Rank and Expertise are not applied this should be a very deadly DZ.
Regular Dark Zone
>SHD Rank is applied
>Expertise is applied
>Full range of power available

The initial influx of players at the beginning of the year did have a lot of Destiny 2 refugees due to one of their streamers trying out the game as theirs was dying out. Turns out Div 2 is the most similar game to De2 out there that's still alive these days.

now that we have a few people in the clan, might be a good idea to try and organize some incursions, raids or high tier escalations
for the new guys, you can take your time learning the game and call for backups when other clan members are online, we can join and help you out to get to level 40 faster and give you pointers on game mechanics and builds

I just returned to The Division 2 like 3 weeks ago, made a new character and I'm on the last 3 Manhunts until I'm completely caught up with all content. I'm just using a basic Striker Set and making sure I stacked red cores. Does anyone have any suggestions for a direction to go in? I know I need to reach 1000 SHD lvl, what's the best way to grind XP every day?
>>
>>2511053
most efficient way to grind SHD levels is heroic open world activities with as many directives as you can stomach
the most fun way is just doing different things and wait for 3x EXP boost events
also strikers is actually the biggest noob trap since most people dont know how to get max stacks and make the most out of it
>use backpack+equalizer chest since strikers chest giving you extra stacks but they require extremely fast-firing weapons to counter the extra stack loss on the 2nd half
>since gear set pieces only have 1 sub-attribute, you're only getting either CHC or CHD instead of both so thats either a 4x6=24% crit chance loss or 4x12=48% crit damage loss
>because strikers talent only boosts weapon damage, if you want to fix the CHC or CHD deficiency then you need 1pc Grupo for CHD and 1 pc Ceska
>but then you lose out good sources of multiplicative damage amps like contractors, the hollow man, overdogs, fox's prayers, etc.
Tipping Scales is actually more efficient with 400% CHD but we gotta keep the all roads lead to strikers meme alive
>>
>>
>>2511053
Most efficient SHD farm IMO is actually just farming National Bond Armory (with all directives) using some sort of one shot build so you can rush the mission, but it's only really worth doing during an XP event, otherwise just play the game normally grinding for gear or other seasonal stuff and the levels will come naturally.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2519744
play it organically, it'll get you used to how things work. Gradually unlocking things and playing around with stuff will benefit you if you're new
the level skip is mostly for alt characters to store stuff and skip things the 2nd time around

I don't really like the idea of giving ubi that much money
that's why standard, also from what I have seen they are inserting woke shit into the black flag remake too. I really liked black flag so I really really hate them right now

I didn't know that
but also I looked it up
>Massive Entertainment AB is a Swedish video game developer and a studio of Ubisoft based in Malmö. The company has been fully owned by Ubisoft since 2008
meh, I will wait for a deeper sale I guess, they used to give out the game for free on ubi launcher I think

So is like PVE Survival minus the fun of survival.
>Normalized Dark Zone
Like TDV1 Dark Zone prior to Level 30.
Might be cool, might be ass.
>Striker
>Striker
>Striker
>Striker
>Striker
>Regular Dark Zone
What makes PVP ass in this game is essentially all the Expertise and SHD grinding.
They need a full on vanilla mode with preset classes like Tf2 for PVP and forget about Gear if they want people to play PVP at all.
Min Maxing autism is not fun.

no but seriously why did he murder hundreds of innocents with a supervirus that might as well have been toxic gas due to how retarded it is conceptually.
How did that and killing clueless Division agents help him fight the glowniggers?

saved my manhunt scouts for this, along with 20k+ textiles
going to try for a stack broker with back and forth talent so i can reroll to RoF. Maybe grab a regulus, tinkerer and sheriff for my alts
>>
>>2533676
He ran a destabilization strategy to get the Division out of his hair to enact an attack on Black Tusk but then wanted to drop the Eclipse virus on an unspecified target and then we showed why you shouldn't dump 10k in electronics.
I need to play the manhunt but I switched to Challenge mode and the guy appeared in the WH basement and Castle as a settlement was already rebuilt.
>>
Honestly though the Eclipse virus is so retarded conceptually.
Like what's the transmissibility of a virus that literally kills their host instantly? Why didn't this nigga just use toxic gas like a normal person? Where did he get enough of that red gas to transmit the virus across the whole city in the first place?
>>
>>2542411
>Why didn't this nigga just use toxic gas like a normal person?
Like a normal person?
Interesting choice of words.
But his whole schtick is overcomplicating things and somehow it worked out I guess.
I think the writers did not know what else to do with the printer even when the eclipse virus is just lingering nerve gas.
Not even something like, a virus that targets division agents based on some bullshit like ISAACs database that includes the genetic code of the agents or some X-Men tier crap.
>Where did he get enough of that red gas to transmit the virus across the whole city in the first place?
Well Dragunov actually managed to gather enough resources to complete a series of canisters.
The writing of this game always comes close to being kind of decent and almost interesting but the writers do not know how to land any of this.
Kelso betrayal for example. Like her going rogue was planned early but her working with Keener was also retarded.
>>
>>2542438
>her working with Keener
It feels retarded that we're also working with Keener ourselves after killing so many people fighting each other, the Brooklyn expansion is also us helping what's essentially a rogue agent settlement and also we don't use ISAC anymore and instead we use ANNA which is like the totally superior AI but her VA also sucks.
Technically the entire Division is now a rogue agency and nobody knows who's working for who anymore, glowniggers couldn't help themselves from overcomplicating the apocalypse itself.
>>
>>
>>2542486
>glowniggers couldn't help themselves from overcomplicating the apocalypse itself.
That is one of the few story elements that is actually amusing, and kind of plausible.
Technically the entire thing is disavowed because President Ellis brought Black Tusk to "help" and BTU understood that as "Open fire on the Division and anyone else too".
>>
>>

Did you guys watch the mobile release trailer?
Tom Clancy would be spinning in his grave if he knew his name was attached to this game.
The division 1 and 2 were bad enough for making you play as the bad guys, the commies, but the mobile trailer outright says the constitutionalists are the main enemy in this game. Its crazy
