Yeah it seems extremely bad even by the standards of like, 2016 gacha. It feels like this was originally meant to be a real video game and then got down-sized and raped into being gacha. It's awkward to play as a gacha title while lacking so much of the industry standard that we expect today, but it's also e-sports that's gated by spending. I'm liking it a lot. The first several matches you play will go by too fast to be any fun because the boss strength scales with the rank you're in but even getting to Silver makes the fights feel much better.

so after playing for quite a bit.. it's good but obviously greedy gacha shit. Sqex could have made a decent ff dissidia game here if it was on pc and had no rolls and was all skins only. I'm having a blast for what it's worth but I'm not delusional enough to spend money here. It's a shame really. The charachters look amazing. The little story bits are fun though funnily enough I disagree with the direction and yet find it charming. Character like lighting shine in this social media slop plot while more emotional ones completely lose all personality sadly because they don't really fit in yet. I liked how in previous games there were disagreements while here it feels like everyone is working at amazon and being way to positive to not get fired. Hate this shit. ut other than that it's fine. Shame really. Could have been a nice casual pc game. People seem to love it on plebbit. For now.

It's fine for a very casual experience on my end, the matches i do aren't too demanding and i did not even have the hint of desiring to spend a dime, which is a positive in my book. What really took me by surprise is the story in its simplicity because i was afraid i was going to detest the new setting, but with the baggage of the PSP games, NT and OO behind, seeing the characters being allowed to chill more in a less grandiose context did it for me (picrel is possibly the most understanding Lightning has ever been in any game). Though i can imagine shit will get real once again very soon.

Ever Crisis got a Steam version a couple months after phone launch. The beta for Dissidia had full, advertised support for Google Play on PC, but the full release is not supported there. Put those two facts together and add in the fact that even Granblue Fantasy got a Steam version recently and I'm convinced that a Steam version of Dissida will be here by summer, but they delayed the launch to create another wave of interest and new players after the honeymoon period winds down.

Depends on the character. Hunter is a safe thing to fish for generically though. Generally just push your strongest aspects, don't bother trying to cover weaknesses. If your character has like 1.2x in a stat, a job that multiplies that stat is solid. Blue Mage and Bard are always worthless, Sage on Krile goes crazy.

Honestly Gold is generally fine. If you can put up something like 9.5k total combat power you can make it to Diamond. So like a f2p can do it, but not in "hoarding for Rikku" mode, you gotta spend the coins.

Not remotely. You can coinflip to Diamond 5 with like 8k power. There are several top 100 NA players hovering right above and below the 11k mark. Just queue more, hopefully with one or more people you can coordinate with so you lower your chance to get a crayon eater.

With the rhythm they're having in terms of adding characters, we can estimate a medium of 20 per year at best, and they're clearly gonna prioritize getting back the protagonists that are not currently in and possibly the villains.
