Not having the full dex isn’t some evil conspiracy—it’s actually better for the game. When you cram in 1000+ mons, balance goes straight out the window and you end up seeing the same busted picks over and over. Smaller roster = devs can actually tune things so more stuff is usable.

Also forces you out of your comfort zone. If all your old favorites are always there, you just run the same team every gen like a bot. Cutting mons makes you try new ones, which is kinda the whole point of a new region.

And yeah, dev time isn’t infinite. Would you rather they half-ass animations, world design, and mechanics just to say “everything’s included,” or actually polish the game? Pick one.

Plus it’s way less overwhelming, especially for new players. Not everyone wants to memorize a four-digit Pokédex just to play.

Different regional dex = different vibe. Makes each game feel like its own thing instead of “same soup, bigger bowl.”

tl;dr it sucks your favorite got cut, but the game’s probably better for it.
