Like I got my tyranitar right here who just one shotted all your psychic shitmons, I will have bro fuck you up if you try and resist. I guess with it being a gym someone is probably watching though but if it was like a random battle on route 27 against lass Michelle or swimmer Briana they shouldn’t be able to resist. Or even just in the story like when you stop some bad guys and they push you out of the way and run out the door, it feels like you should be able to use your pokemon to fuck then up and apprehend them as looker astutely does
