Explain to me like I’m a campaignshitter and admittedly don’t use this thing much during Gen 6, but how is an 50% boost on all special attacks in Sun, that stacks ontop of the 50% boost you already get in the sync supposed to be and.
>you lose some health
life orb is the same thing but gives a lesser boost and it’s one of the most popular items.
And remind people used base zard because of Solar Power and did well with that shit, even in Gen 9 when it didn’t have its golden parachute broken mega or broken giga to hide behind

You need to set up the sun, with or without this in, then get your attack off without the opponent disrupting your weather, and still take the chip. Charizard Y is good because it sets up its own sun. All the rain abusers are good enough without rain and most are at least a little bulky so they can switch in and take a hit even if they aren’t the ones setting it up. This isn’t an ungodly nuke to justify using it in comparison to what other megas can do with or without weather. Also everything about it is “wow that’s a cool stat, but there’s something better at that”

Because it requires both a mega stone and mediocre weather setter. This isn't like Swampert where it's exceptional with or without rain while still having a good rain setter in Pelipper.
The worst part is the massive flavor fail. Why does pokemon that is based on the gatekeeper of the underworld have a SUN ability? That makes no sense.
