Super Mario Bros 2, World 3-2. This fucking line of walls where you have a limited amount of bombs and you can't even drop them down the ladders is the most tedious uninspired level design, it filtered me hard as a kid but I finally got past it in the end.

I was stuck hard on this spot in TMNT as a kid. It wasn't until I watched a play-through nearly 15 years later, and saw someone not hit their head on the ceiling, that I finally understood what I was screwing up. Literally the only jump in the entire game where you need to understand the momentum-killing mechanic.

first non-skateboarding level in bttf. you just throw milkshakes at the bullies as they come up but i could never beat it as a kid. as an adolescent i finally did and then the rest of all those kinds of stages are easy as hell. the only other hard part is the final level you only get one shot or else you are stuck in the past forever.

The 4th dungeon in Oracle of Ages at this room. The worst part was I actually had a guidebook as a kid, but it only said "this is like the room you did earlier but harder, do the puzzle and get a small key"
