Why didn’t it go further with the late 90s aesthetic?
Like Y2K posters, flannel shirts and shoegaze

No one gave a shit about aesthetics then, aside from marketing people and a specific set of graphics designers, and even then, shit that you call "late 90s aesthetic" is just some label that some dumbass children applied to certain visuals a year or so ago, no one called shiny eco shit "frutiger aero" back then aside from Microsoft calling their vista style "aero".
Aesthetic circlejerks suck anyways, it's literally just the same as those kids in the 2000s who are sad they never experienced the 80s, except it's now kids in the 2020s who are sad they barely experienced the 2000s. All of those aesthetics didn't mean shit then outside of marketing, and they don't mean shit now outside of dumbass teenagers who fantasize about the possibility of someone making it happen without money or some shit.
I know this has nothing to do with RE3, but then again, we have had a flood of RE3 threads already, so go talk about RE3 in one of those threads, faggot.

>lazily editing the RE3 art to imply that it was a PS2 game
>wondering about why they didn't push a certain nostalgiawank aesthetic in a game made when the aesthetic would have been current
This is some next level shit
