What does /vr/ think of the Neo Geo Aes+? Will we be buying? Will you be playing authentic arcade games with a friend on the couch?

Recreating the hardware with ASICs is absolutely the right move for this kind of thing, but I'm not big on SNK titles.

Neo Geo games are just re-skins of other Neo Geo games. I heard that on youtube by a retro guy who knows gaming. Because he keeps old buying games.

Depends on two things:
1.Flashcart support
2.The build quality of the Neo Geo CD gamepad repos. The last two attempts were made with shit quality parts and used a really soft microswitch compared to the OEM gamepad.

What is Plaion like as a company?
What is the quality and support of their other projects?
Is this going to be a limited run release or long term staple?
Can they get rights to release every game in the future?

I want is this to be a permanent thing and have all the physical games and hardware available, so it can truly be a Neo Geo Renaissance.

Preordered the ultimate edition, I can currently afford it and it's pretty much a once in a lifetime chance for me so I'm going for it. Hoping more games will be re-released, would like to own all the Metal Slugs.

Read the website, The only thing that is going to be in low quality is the bundle, and honestly does the best deal. Anyone with money should aim for that.

It’s literally a reproduction console anon, with added HDMI out
