Playing World of Final Fantasy for the first time and I already beat Yuna and Valefor, but I'm really not feeling it. Aside for being a throwback to classic Final Fantasy, the whole "monster capture" mechanic isn't that interesting, not to mention that you have to level every monster you get because they start at level 1, plus the obnoxious requirements to capture monsters and the limited party roster. Does this get any better?

Yeah it's a fine FF fanservice game but I think it kinda fails to understand what makes a creature collecting game fun, at least IMO.

There is potential in the stacking mechanic though, it's just underutlized.

Its not a hard game. I think I completed the platinum trophy last year.

Who said it was hard?

I feel you on this one. I liked what I did play but there are too many things to play out there now and I have other priorities so certain games have to get dropped. This is one of those games. It's not bad, and I understand people enjoy it. It's not worth the time or effort for me. That can be said of a lot of games, to be fair. It depends on my reason for gaming at the time. Relaxation, mild meditation (letting my brain process things in the background, game as white noise), genuinely new experience and challenging my reflexes with precision platforming and Souls-like games, playing something that's telling me a story, or am I gaming just to escape from something at the time?

It absolutely baffles me that you can't switch between your Jiant and Lilikin forms and their respective stacks mid-battle. Either they were too incompetent to think of it, or they were too incompetent to implement it.

This was the slowest, most tedious game I have ever played. I gave up after like 2 hours in and nothing had happened and it was still tutorializing things. This game fucking blows.

It's good for monster taming standards but not compared to most competently made jrpgs.
