Name that JRPG or something that fits the description:
>"It’s insanely tight for an RPG. Short, punchy dialogue, no filler, and constant forward momentum. Areas are compact but varied, so nothing overstays its welcome. Battles are quick and interactive with timed hits, no sluggish turn-based drag. You’re always switching between exploration, combat, and light platforming, so it never feels static.
>The remake sharpens this even more. Faster menus, smoother transitions, and cleaner visuals make everything feel immediate. It’s basically an RPG with action-game flow."

Ys Oath in Felghana has everything you need.
One of the top 3 jrpgs of all time. Just play it on hardest difficulty to really get the most out of it.

Ark of Napishtim is really great too. Haven't played Origin yet but it's the same engine and others say it's great.
Similarly and more obscurely, check out Neugier. Short and sweet.

I always ignored mario rpg thinking it was going to be a tacky rpg aimed at babies.
And yes it's kind of tacky and very childish but it's done in such a good way even adults can enjoy it, and yes the gameplay is top tier more RPGs should be this snappy and interactive

lmao
I remember playing Oath and finding it so damn good, then I tried Celceta, Ys 7,8, and some others and all were shit in comparison
I need to try Origins again and Naphishtim they seem to be more inline with OATH in felghana which is a 10/10 jrpg
