their floating city crashed
and they can't
the dalairey wastes are the only place on all of halann that has a mortality modifier that can't be nullified by tech
to own the chuds, of course
no way to make it a Star Elven homeland so they stop dying
>>
>>2341676
>to own the chuds, of course
I don't understand how a mod/game/genre where 90% of the playerbase is "chuds" ends up with a dev team composed of people who are only in it to "own the chuds". Maybe that's why it's slowly dying.
>>
>>
>>
>>2341676
Vic3 Aelnar already has multiple flavor and path proposals and more interest in it than 90% of the tags outside of cannor/serpentspine combined. Goes for all evil tags really. Not even the devs themselves play the boring friendship is magic nations outside of a few fun ones like the jadd.
>>
>>
>>
>>
Am I missing something with Chaingrasper? You're forced to go like 3000 ducats into debt and fall behind on tech in order to study necro and go lich, but you still have to keep up colonization you can barely afford the whole time

Heres the map >>2341649 Gawed has a few revolutions and from what I remember becomes a capitalist hellhole, Verne folds into the post Anbennar rump state thing, Gnomes to be fair do have some colonies in the frozen hellscape of the North, but Busilar is the only one that seems to come close to being the UK in this scenario with a large multi continent empire.

You made me check and this is in fact true, in their trannycord you can trace the pipeline from "Yeah Aelnar should be an OPM by vicky 3 time because people love it and will want to revive it" at the start to "We should kill them offscreen before the start date actually" a couple years later to "Actually put them in vicky 3 but make them die as pathetically as possible without any chance of survival as a humiliation ritual" as of a couple years ago or so by jaybeaner, I think he is perma seething about the fact Aelnar is always a top 5 most popular nation in his gay polls and I think from reading the posts that both he and his homotranny cabal would want it deleted from the mod as a concept if they could without sounding butthurt.
>>
>>2341673
Aelnar gets jumped by literally everyone during the Rianvisa and survived with only the bloodgroves, then they get invaded by Lorent again and after losing Elissa gets blackout drunk and takes the city for a ride

why do they even hate Aelnar so much?
>>
>>2342082
I got it now, I ended up accidentally cucking them out of the throne. When Rogier was still in charge, I used Rite of Conception (I'm still pn old magic) to get a magic heir. When Rogier died, the heir had their own magic heir, and the event / mission doesn't clear your existing heir. So I still have a Silmuna Powerful Mage lined up to inherit
I like ideas behind this tree, the whole "Twin Empire" with Ibevar thing is cool, but my god is the writing bad. I'm skipping most of the flavor because it's just so painful to read.

The opposite is also retarded though, where every irrelevant EoA 2pm has a CN and it’s what usually happens ingame
“Exwesser Dalaire” and “Neckcliffe Amadia” are not real countries, they are mental conditions
>>
>>
>>2343109
It's because the devs went the completely opposite direction of vanilla, where only a few nations are scripted to go colonial. It also doesn't help that 5 million adventurers spawning in the moment the clock strikes 1500 also means there's barely anywhere to even colonize
Speaking of Vic3, the collapse of the Command literally mirrors the IRL collapse of the Mughal empire which allowed Britain to snag up India in a few decades, yet in Vic3 Bhuvauri is the only valuable thing the colonizers have taken (and knowing how that game works, will end up taking)

Devs really do have an issue with letting people be angry at the monstrous races that have invaded and pillaged their lands. What do you mean the purifying faction in the old sun cult don't want to drive out Harpies and Gnolls after countless invasions and thousands of years of enslavement and is fine with Sun Elves given the current Dartax situation? These guys should be borderline SS levels of intolerant.
>>
>>2343760
Dwarves obviously get a pass, since they have never really done anything overtly bad to humans in recent memory. Harpies I believe have some lore in the sun cult about being corrupted creations of surakel's sibling or something like that, but they are seen as related to humanity, so I could see even a hardline position that considers them saveable. Elves came out of nowhere, any lore about them is made up on the spot, nothing saving them from hardliners except their aesthetics. And obviously gnolls are monsters everyone has hated for millennia, why the fuck would that change

the MT won't linger on Taychend for long, most of the focus is actually going to be on Insyaa and Haless.
Taychend is more or less going to end up a resource extraction colony like india despite all the talk of the blue man's burden
>>
>>2343816
wyvernheart is always top tier when it comes to culture converting and genocide. Masked Butcher also comes to mind, literally converting them into unique estates. Rosande is interesting in that you can accept green orcs, then culture convert goblins and unaccepted cultures into green orc, then turn it into a slave plantation if youre into that sort of thing. In Rahen there's a tigerman formable that removes non-tigers. And of course the serpentspine is rife with blissful murder and the screams of grobulins.

>try out new Harpyficer MT on the Friday build, rough start but enjoying it so far
>finally unlock artificery by 1520

>no mage ruler so magic is now borked
>research is disabled too so artificery's borked as well
Well that sucks. At least the magic penalty got adjusted in the latest patch so it's just a couple edits in my save file to make things suck less. Definitely waiting a week or two when they finish Harpylen before I try them.

Are escanni tags contractually obligated to have a "win the consolidation wars" mission? I thought this tag would be focused on Ibevar + westward expansion so I was a little late to get started on consolidation.
That said, half elf admin is insane. I'm up to -90% diplomatic annexation cost, and 120% improve relations. Add on top of that conquering Escann from west to east means less AE from distance, and I haven't had any coalitions of note the whole game.
The later missions require you to have a lot of provinces culture converted, and the special conversion parliament issue is kinda slow. I'll probably switch to human administration once my vassals are all annexed for the conversion cost reduction.

For a laugh I started Giberd and conquered the neighboring Moon Elf province first. Swapped to Elven mil (and Human admin, lol) and oh my god are Artificer Elves psycho rapists

Please teach me how to play Giberd, Rahen and the Forbidden plains ogres have turned me into a gibbering retard and i have forgotten how allies work
I see the starting event and my mouth waters, but I am weak gommo and it takes a DECADE for enough favors to accrue to bring in allies. is that normal? I feel so weak even with the artificers, I'm relying entirely on silverforge not faffing about.
how do people play the EoA if you have to conquer ASAP but Realm Peace triggers by 1502 every game?
>>
>>2345884
>Please teach me how to play Giberd
My first war iirc was vs Leslinpar, and I called in Estallen and Silverforge on promise land (I later released Leslinspar and just traded favors for the provinces I gave them). no need to wait for favors
Prioritize allying nations with mage rulers, it takes you a few years to get the new battlemage academy project up and running to get your own war wizard. Always double check if your war enemies have their own wizard, nearly threw an early war when the enemy instacapped Asheniande with a cheeky meteor
Oh and give the estate privilege Private Funded Artificers, it gives you 3-5 free artificer regiments every ten years, depending on force limit I think. Always click it every time its off cooldown, there's no penalty I'm aware of for going over your artificer limit

Almost, Gilberd can't finish the last part of the MT until the Ravelian State exists. I'm giving up on:
>20% manpower in true faith provinces
>-10% dev cost OR 10% trade eff + 10% goods produced OR 10% land fire damage
>10% army morale & 10% artificer limit
>the giberd-unique artificer organization privileges
>25% goods procued & 20% trade value in the capital
>10% art combat ability, -1% prestige decay, +2 tolerance of heathens
>+1 free policies, 5% admin eff
It's a lot of permanent modifiers, but the buffs from the Rav State mission tree might be better?

4th country I'm playing in this mod, Arakeprun.
The early gameplay is fun, going from probably the most disadvantaged religion to uniting whole region. When I formed the formable, I didn't really like the colour that much (too much like Piss Prussia from vicky 2), but it's grown on me. Likewise, the focus tree seemed too oriented at playing tall, but the more I played, the more that turned out to be false.
Recently defeated Wesdam and took all their colonies. However, I'm now lagging behind rather noticeably in diplo/mil tech and the colonisers aren't afraid to cease the opportunity, so... yeah, will have to see how this goes.
>>
>>2347169
Is there another set of Pashaine missions after Unity, the one where you have to own all of Esmaria + East Dameshead? I got bored after dissolving the Empire
Also, from a lore perspective the bit where you suddenly decide to hate mages comes out of fucking nowhere. The ideas implied that mages were devastating the land or something, but the events make it out like Pashaine one day just goes bugnuts paranoid for no reason
>>
>>
>>
>>
I wish my boys the Spiderwretch got a rework.
Their story and missions are fun, but like so many other trees require you to know EXACTLY what your doing before hand and can be fucked up if an AI nation takes a single province you need.
>>
>>2347756
Anon most the mission trees in this mod require specific playstyles.
And most are require some form of blobbing aside from a handful of 'taller' tags made to shut up people complaining about having to conquer everything.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2347795
Did nurcestir canonically annex everyone else in the escannbowl or did they only achieve regional dominance? The in-game Consolidation event chain only requires you to have 100 provinces by the end date, which is barely even half.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2347967
Well, considering that Unguldavor and Jazhkredu were outright established as homelands for orcs and goblins by Camir, it's safe to assume he conquered all of Escann, with the possible exception of Marrhold.
A12 = { #Jazhkredu
color = { 43 60 0 }
country_type = recognized #Established by Nurcestir as homeland for goblins, ergo recognized
A31 = { #Unguldavor
color = { 20 160 60 }
country_type = recognized #Established by Nurcestir as homeland for orcs, ergo recognized
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2348622
my issue with it is that you have a time limit where you really need to go full invasion on the centaurs and take basically that entire south western region I believe. Mostly keep as trade companies and expel centaurs I think is the optimal way to due it.
That is likely going to lead to a debt crisis and one lost war would destroy your limited manpower.
I like the ideas of them allying the ogres and lake humans, but not much comes from it alot of the time. A formed lake fed will dwarf you in power even if you played your best and the ogres 9 / 10 times need you to just take one as a vassal and feed them the hill region.

Emulant for her gives either AE reduction or artillery level vs fort. Something to grab anyway, but not helpful for that. Even with the spymaster and all, it's still just rng. There will always be a bit where your spy can get caught and you can't do shit about it. Which wouldn't be so bad if you had other stuff to do in the meantime, but some countries are completely bottlenecked by spy network at certain points

Cavalry and Razing and blobbing: Centaurs (a few of them have unique MTs on the gitlab now, Wild Hunt is probably one of the hardest starts in the game that has a MT)
OP Cavalry, blobbing, and culture shenanigans: The Jadd (Mughal mechanics) and Adenica into Castanor (accepts all human cultures and creates a new Castanorian culture that slowly spreads over time)
Being able to take both aristocratic and horde ideas, and having an entire gameplay UI mechanic for raising stronger cavalry: the Elephant Raj lords into Dhugajir
Being able to take both aristocratic and horde ideas, but you are also schizo: Spiderwretch, Goblins that decide to larp as Centaurs and ride spider cavalry
>>

>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2349453
no, and you aren't as focused on cavalry as the jadd empire (formable) compared to jaddari, which can have all cav armies, makes cav cost the same as inf, and has a gov interaction that gives free cav units. but your formable has the mughal diwan culture mechanic. one advice i will give is combine your starting infantry units as they take losses, until you have 1k left, then disband those guys. elven military is brutal on manpower recovery, with your cav buffs its a waste to keep infantry long term. admin focus on the entire game, admin ideas as your first idea. dont bother having a positive budget, make all of your money from peace deals
try them on the gitlab because the jadd have more content on there (stuff about building temples in the africa continent)
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>2349856
You still have good cavalry bonuses but you can't have all cav armies, you do get a powerful bonus for the next 50 years or so that's cavalry focused. You are basically turning an army into an actual state when you form their empire to be fair

Decided to dick around in Aelantir in my Giberd game, hoping to boost my artificer capacity with the precursor relics
I've never bothered colonizing in Anbennar before, and I got into the colonial game late. Stole these colonies in the north off Reveria and Neckcliff, making my way to Eordand which seems to have a lot of relics
Besides Eordand, are there any colonies that are particularly valuable? I have no clue what's going on in the Ynn River area, does this ever form into a gigastate or will it stay splintered until it gets eaten?

You lose the mages but keep the magical projects they have finished. And they get the revolution much earlier, at the start of the age of absolutism

Realistically, 200 years of slavery makes up for the orcish genocide from a utilitarian point of view. If you think about it, the successor kingdoms to Black Castanor only existed for about 200+ years since Nichmers death, so 100 years of genocide=100 years of slavery to atone for being a jackass+100 years of slavery to rebuild the damage done to the world(including the Deepwoods)

Bunch of fur-clad hunter-gatherers managed to slaughter them by hundreds and Romans quite quickly adapted to fighting elephants. The way I see it, huge elephant is a huge target in the era of gunpowder and it's hard to manouver, so you only need to short a handful and the charge breaks. Murder holes would work well against them an so would basic field fortifications. Mammothlary would probably be useful in pursuit of fleeing foes or otherwise disorganized forces.

Zokka is the true evil gnoll experience, that concludes withthe consumption of the Sun
Gnollakaz is "canonically" the most successful gnoll nation. They conquer not-Egypt, and become much more civilized after converting to khet worship. They also use the "Steward of the Sorrow" mandate mechanic.

Konolkhatep is my favourite Anbennar nation. Gnolls elevate WEWUZZING to such unprecedented heights even gods and ancient, gnoll-slaying heroes go "Yeah ok we can't stop this you're the natives now have fun I guess."

>Cael'Deinn because they are the only infernal court nation in the mod
The only one that's supposed to go infernal*, for example Luciande can easily go infernal because Lucian is cruel and an inferal holy site is in his area I think it's his starting province specifically not sureeverybody will fucking despise you regardless for being a loud and proud vampire so you being a heretic is the least of their worries
>>
>>2364924
Gnollakaz > Konolhatep, or Zokka. Both start out pretty strong, the main difference is do you want to be a Khet worshipping wewuz (you also get multiple slavery mechanics down the line) or stick with the gnoll religion and evilmaxx? Also the evil gnoll religion lets you raze like a horde
Both of these are easily top 10 content in the mod, and both are also very wide
Also all gnolls get a unique estate privilege (monster estate or merchants estate respectively) that prevents tributaries from declaring war on each which I think is very nice

What
Are you playing as a tribe in a butthole of Aelantir? Swamp Ogres? Tech really isn't that hard in this game and you should be generating dozens of mana points by 1500s
>deving provinces for manpower
Don't. It's a waste of points for the most part. Only do it if:
>you are deving for the institution
>you are buffing low dev province with poor trade goods with 2~3 price
>you are playing tall and have points to spare
>dealing woth corruption
Keep it low, all power costs penalty is horrible. I think there are some pro strats that embrace the high corruption, but I try to keep it between 2%-5%. Use debt instead, it's better in the long run.

What are the mechanics behind damestear depletion? Seems clear the game only lets you have 1 province and deletes the others, but some games it won't let me have any at all. Is it tied to production like gold mines?

I truly believe that game has potential and I fucking love pops, but it's very empty right now content wise and I also think 1337 is a bad start date. Gotta love how 90% of "historical events" are just hiring artists for a scaling amount of income, aka paying 6 million gold for like 5 prestige

CK3 came out quite some time ago and I still feel the same way about it. I love its mechanics, but content wise it just feels the same wherever you play. In CK2 culture and religion felt much more immersive, in CK3 there's very little difference in vibes between playing a christian lord in europe, a muslim in the middle east, an african pagan chieftain o algo o algo

>It already takes 50-100 years in EU4 for colonial powers to come to you if you're dependent on them for institution spread like how Native Americans are (tribals can't dev for it)
>Let's just extend that time by a century (and much longer IRL because of how much more intensive EU5 is as a game) because of how much slower EU5 exploration and colonization is
>>
>>
>>2368779
Yeah I haven't been able to play CK3 again since release. I enjoyed it a lot then, but it feels so boring on a replay. I'm sure the DLC adds replayability, but I'm kind of tired of the strategy game DLC loop of coming back and doing a campaign every DLC.

>go to Aelantir

give me one reason why Haless isn't Aelantir and that those two continents they found aren't just colonies of the precursor empire

Let's see:
Castellos Mural Temple
Megacity in Taychend
Kheions
Haraf climate control station
Major cities in Sarda-Veykoda
That one city in Eordand
Seven cities of gold replacements that can spawn anywhere
I'm sure there's more. I know monument mod adds some ruins, but I'm not sure if those are canon

Holy shit I'm finally having a good Viakkoc run and just took Eborthil, 1462. I can finally interact with gnoll mechanics now,
So I'm eyeing Busilar- do I raze every province with shit trade goods like fish/grain/wool for xhazob points? Do I want to summon a xhazob as Viakkoc?

I'd probably try something like Verne or Istralore if you're new to the mod they're similar enough to base you'll know what to do while figuring out the magic and other mod stuff, or try one of the Dwarf holds like Arg Ordstun or Odval Tungr (this one is essentially Venice Dwarves).

How do your dudes even kill the kaiju, phyiscally? Sure from a gameplay numbers perspective it works out, but if hundreds of thousands of ants started throwing grains of sand at me it wouldn't make much of a difference how many there are.
>>
>>
>>
>>2374631
Haven't played in a while so I dunno the context of the kaiju, but there's magic in this setting. Doesn't seem that weird. Even without it, enough people and ropes and you can bring down anything. Then you can just go at it.

Context is just big fuckin monsters. Perspective is somewhat off since the trees are also huge, but you can make out a normal sized forest at the bottom.
In my current game it took about 8 waves of 120k men to deplete its HP. Which upon reflection I had to wonder how a bunch of dudes with muskets and cannons killed it simply by pouring more gunfire on it.

is it just me or in the late game having to conquer a sizeable amount of provinces like some MTs want is something very annoying to do? it's bothersome to micro like 10 armies and to chase after the AI who keeps running away I hate the late game so much
>>
>>2373094
Is Alenor getting updated to also be yiff-wolves? can't let orcs have all the fun with werewolves finally being added.
its a long shot but if wyvernheart also got a touchup so they're not stacking corinite>infernal court>black demense religion switching that'd be real cool. the northwest corner of escann is the best by far.

It may not be an ideal solution, but Paradox offers a subscription to unlock every DLC for the duration of it.
