>Using Android?
i'm not a phonefag. i use computers.
phone is strictly for calls/texts and never connects to the internet. i only have it because my old dumbphone isn't compatible with whatever fuckery all the networks in the UK have "upgraded" to and because sometimes people who work for me need to call me and i might be out on the farm or driving. if i'm driving i pull over somewhere safe and answer/call back because i don't use bluetooth and i don't like talking while driving unless someone is physically in my car. though if i'm trying to concentrate (say at a busy crossroads) i tell them to shut the fuck up.

anyway your post will probably help someone so gj.

uh absolutely nothing?
i just hate the walled-garden shartphone tech, i hate seeing people of all ages glued to them constantly and i refuse to participate in that faggotry.
internet is for my computers as it has been since the 14.4k days.
i don't use vpns or any of that other stuff, if my three letter handler(s) wants to see me looking at retarded videos that make me laugh or playing old singleplayer games or listening to some sick tunes they're more than welcome to join the party. they might even learn something.

when i'm out and about every evening the last thing i want to be doing is being on the intartubes on a tiny shitty screen. i want to be talking and drinking and smoking with irl people. you know, like we all did in the old days.

What the fuck?
Why was the newgrounds version of it censored?
>>
>>6110736
i'm not sure. maybe they got tight on censorship at some point? i lost track of that place many many years ago and going back there in 2026 it's an absolute ocean of shit, very hard to find anything interesting unless you know some old creators names that may or may not be still doing occasional stuff.
i don't bother with that place.
>>
>>6110736

also that place was pretty fucking funny for a teen in the 90's.

not sure how to dl it, any tips?
also the upload date says 2005 but it was actually december 1999:

I don't think so, this was still the 00s, they still had celebrity assassin and bunch of other gory and offensive shit.

I'm guessing tlg posted their stuff on other sites and just uploaded the censored one on newgrounds.

>>6110768

I'm surprised it's still alive. Who's going to it these days?

>>6110786
Screen capture.

I genuinely miss the days when geek was still looked down upon. I remember showing this to some of classmates in school and them thinking it was the lamest shit. Any sort of passion towards geek hobbies was always met with jeers for me. Funnily enough some of these normalfags send me this shit decades later now that geek culture has been deemed cool enough to be striped of it's soul and absorbed into the monoculture.
>>
>>6110790
>I'm surprised it's still alive. Who's going to it these days?
i don't really know, over the last 3(?) years i've had one little peek at it around christmas time for old times sake and it seems to be a dumping ground for coomerbait animations, very short test animations, furry shit animations and boring pretentious university projects because they think it will help them somehow? idgi.
christ, they're still doing clock crew collabs. in 20fucking25/6. it's so depressing how these people are stuck in time (pun not intended). haven't moved the fuck on at all.

if you feel like wasting your time and getting angry have a browse.
i personally wouldn't bother. i'm far too old now to be the target audience.

i don't know how this one came across my radar but it did (i must've checked the site at christmas 2021) and it's very impressive for a solo project.

I remember the toonami dbz run always ending on a cliffhanger before restarting from the beginning. Then they must have gotten the rights to the run the rest of the episodes and they had a promo going "Remember this cliffhanger from DBZ? Well now we can continue with MORE episodes" and had a sizzle reel of the episodes that came after
>>
>>6110863
>>'member "madness"
>Yes, I remember. Wait, it's 3D?
i was just showing how far stickfights have evolved. the original madness was the first (afaik) that evolved it from literal stickmen fights (which was very popular) and why it gained huge popularity all the way back then.
that 3d one i linked is a next-level one off though, not by the original madness creator, a one-man fan project that took 2 years with input from the original creator.
did you watch it all the way through? the choreography is insane, the framerate is spot on, the graphics are great. shows what a dedicated blender artist can achieve.

Yes and no. Sure it's all corporate slop made to generate profit, but in order to be effective they had to capture the essence of life at that moment in time. I don't care about the product, it's about the feeling.
You could go ahead and log into Newgrounds, screenrecord a few classic flash animations, convert to webm and post them here, but you'd probably find that the majority of it is retarded slop derived from wacky '90s toons that don't hold up.
But if that's what you want to remember, go for it. We each had different childhoods, and this is all that remains.

>It is ingrained into our psyche and we reminiscence by anchoring our memory to these commercials.
again, demolition man dystopian shit.

but to be absolutely pedantic, that policewoman collecting old memorabilia and singing along to adverts that she never experienced (was born way way after they existed) is more akin to a zoomer obsessing over 80's culture.
so the analogy isn't perfect but people will get the gist.

and fyi i grew up in the 80's so i had adverts too but i am not remotely nostalgic for them.
they weren't comfy, they were a fucking chore and interrupted what you wanted to watch.
as stated before, "i hate them with the burning passion of over 9000 suns".

never used shittok, i don't do antisocial media of any kind. i don't get barraged by anything.
i'm not a phonefag, i despise shartphones and never use them for anything except receiving the occasional business call and - extremely rarely - getting a text from someone from the pub. my phone never connects to the intartubes. it doesn't have any "apps" except for the shit it came with, most are uninstalled. i sometimes use the timer and the calculator. that's it.

so how you've got it into your head i'm a brainrotted zoomer i have no idea.

>>
>>6116207
There's nothing dystopian about it, you don't know what that word means. Old commercials evoke feelings of nostalgia and longing for a better time because of how frequent we used to watch them on TV. This is extremely common and widespread, the fact that you're prancing about "dystopia" tells me you were too young to have experienced this and are trying really hard to prove you're not a slave to capitalism or something, which is just embarrassing.
>>
>>6115555
>>6115942
To be fair to the faggot, a lot of the nostalgic shit that isn't just ads is ephemeral. Like, most of original 4chan is gone and all that is left are vestigial things like (flattened) memes (and the boards themselves which no longer look like they used to) and you can't really re-construct original 4chan out of just memes.

>>6116054
>Just because you have no monoculture
*They*, as in zoomers, have an all encompassing-monoculture that swallows everything, we had the mainstream and subcultures sitting inside it, alongside or outside it. You could have your own space back then.

>>6116207
>that policewoman collecting old memorabilia and singing along to adverts that she never experienced (was born way way after they existed) is more akin to a zoomer obsessing over 80's culture.
Bang on the money. Hell, that fucking radio station playing "minitunes"/advert jingles is basically what tiktok is, brainworms selling you shit.

>>6116240

>>
>>6116248
>There's nothing dystopian about it, you don't know what that word means.
oh so demolition man isn't a dystopian police state?
like the version we're basically living in now which is only going to get worse?

the monoculture is gone and the world is now wide open.

i remember when the song/video "clint eastwood" came out.
that year i was 18 and the family went to st. moritz to ski (nowhere near as exciting as the place i grew up skiing at - very flat and bleak) and my younger sister and i went to a pub to drink some beer one evening.
they had a jukebox and i must've put on gorillaz clint eastwood about three times lol.
wierd thinking about it, was the jukebox connected to the net or something? it was 2001 so yeah, it was.
i also bought some FUBU jeans in that resort.
for us by us? fuck you niggers, i'm buying them anyway.
still gottem. maybe i'll wear them again for a laugh.

here's another boring story that no-one will read: the artist for tank girl and gorillaz was an horsham lad (my local town, fuck that place to hell, i hate it and won't go back) whomst studied at northbrook back before it got moved to worthing (?).

I was on the west coast, so it happened before school. I was in first grade too, but I honestly cannot too remember much of that day other than how distraught my Mother was.
I do remember a lot of kids did not come into school that day nor was the day normal. I was told the older kids were watching the live coverage. I cannot remember what we did.
It's silly now, but one of the things that pissed me off at the time was that our local Fox affiliate stopped showing afterschool Cartoons post 9/11. I also noticed that something as simple as Halloween changed. Everyone was guarded, and it was less fun. My parents also got caught up in the Anthrax scare despite, in hindsight, there being no threat to us. My Dad was talking about burning any strange letter we got on the grill outside.

The Pre and Post 9/11 world change fascinates me now. How happy, friendly, and colorful the world was before it and how dark, angry, and quiet the world was after it.

Ocean ended up doing some post - Reccome episodes, but they weren't as good. Shame too because Scott McNeil and Brian Drummond had much more character in their voices for Piccolo and Vegeta than Sabat's flat gruff effect.

What a zoomerfied post.

>in the 90s we had a monoculture because the only entertainment was limited.
You had what you could afford, where you grew up and what friends you had (if any). All of this produced local subcultures.

>everybody played playstation
Not even remotely true and that's not even accounting for other consoles.

>everybody watched tv.
Not having cable meant you didn't see shows the cable havers did. Hell, even terrestrial tv was different region to region.

>now everybody watches a plethora of different shit.
Everyone watches the same algorithm-driven shit.

>the monoculture is gone and the world is now wide open.
The monoculture is now and the world is walled garden.

>the 2000s was the period where the hedonism wore off and became stale.

In retrospect I've kind of realized how many of the nickelodeon cartoons had jews as main or major characters. Odd.

so fuckin true, thanks for typing this. as a teen i was a cartoon network bloke, something always felt "off" with nickelodeon, something instinctive. my "shit detector" was always on high alert when i viewed that channel and as i've got older i realise why.

What's the point in letting go of things you genuinely like for the sake of novelty?
