I search for specific things and then let the algorithm do its job on the search results page. I rarely get coombait recommended to me. Avoid thumbnails with scantily clad women or obvious attention whores.

my go to formula is the following:
1. open youtube in a private window
2. search for old youtube channels and exlusively watch old videos (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/@Pigsbum53ASMR https://www.youtube.com/@MitzyWhispers
). this tricks the algo into recommending older channels.
3. once you visit the home page, it display a mix of old and new. keep ignoring the new videos and watch the new ones to train the algo

4. after a few days, it should start recommending videos similar to the ones you watched and even go as far as to recommend older channels.
5. unfortunately, youtube will continue recommending coomer videos because that is what users similar to you watch but the trick is to never ever click on one. watching a single coomer video will contaminate your entire home page and the only way to rid that cancer is by starting fresh.
