I'm using voicemeeter to record guitar and trying to use the virtual output vaio thingy so i can play thru discord, but when testing it with vocaroo it sounds underwater like this:

but when i upload the audio file from voicemeeter it sounds way more clear like this:

why does the one from the virtual output sound all muffled?

Maybe cause the recorder in voicemeeter is set to record directly from the input but when you're outputting the sound to virtual 1 you're doing so through the reverb.
In other words, try it without the fx return.
I believe that also does it twice, so if you send directly from Stereo input 2 to b1 and then also output through the fx it effectively gets sent twice to the same channel which might screw things up.
But idk for sure, you'll just have to test it out.
