Welcome to the N.H.K might be my favorite anime/manga of all time and Mysterious Girlfriend X can be just as cringe inducing (if not more-so.) It follows the same storyline of boy needs girl, girl needs boy. Might be exactly what you're looking for if you look past the spit stuff (unless you're into that, than yw)
>>1565159 The first part of Kedamonotachi no Jikan is kinda like that. Guy kidnaps girl, they end up relating to each other and trauma bonding. It gets weird after that though.
