I don't know how gameplay-wise they differ from previous games
like Sonic CD, a side game for an attachment no one bought, effectively acts as an alternative sequel to Sonic 1 (crazy dev story, tldr Japanese did CD while gaijins did Sonic 2)
I wonder if this is the case with PSP games or not
