I believe, it's having Saturn in your 1st house. It's ruined my life and body. I'm a leo rising but it took away all the good qualities of leo and made me a pathetic loser.

I'm curious what you anons think is the worst placement?

How'd you get a planet in your house?

I act more like my moon sign because I'm so introverted.

I have it, too, in conjunction with pluto. It's not the reason we're fucked up though, there's no such thing as "planetary energies." All it does it reflect what's fated for you in that area of life, same as any other placement or aspect. Everything is fated, astrology is just a map of fate.

I don't mind being a hermit.

It is probably a Saturn Aspect for sure. I will throw out Saturn Square Venus which I have as pretty nasty.

I think this is very possible but I am not 100% sure. Astrology may simply be a map of our souls. I do think negative aspects are usually past life related and despite what people think karma means, it is more a reflection of unresolved issues at a soul level. Someone gets brutally raped in their past life for example and they may have an aspect that harms their sexual relationships.

this 100%

calling it "planetary energy" is silly. It's a map, and it goes hand-in-hand with the Tree of Life, and tarot cards. Especially if you use a Thoth deck.

The actual material physical planet Saturn has no direct influence on your life in any way, but what Saturn as an archetype represents symbolically is a real thing that does influence your life unconsciously.

I'm the same yet I'm successful at everything I do. I've got some bad news for you op: it's 100% just you being a loser and quitter, with nothing else to blame for it.

>Leo rising

I think that will mostly outweigh it.
I have Saturn in the 1st house and I'm am Aquarius/Pisces rising. I'd like to swap thanks

Saturn on your chart is not always bad. It depends on a number of things. You need to consider exaltations and detriments, and you need to look at the placement in the decans, and you should consider whether your chart is a day chart or a night chart, and you also want to look at their proximity to your Sun and Moon, as well as any aspects with them, or any other planets or signs or houses.

Reading a chart is a complicated, very long process that can take a while and requires patience and devotion to really pick out all the nuances and get a detailed picture of your fate.

This is not even mentioning things like Lots.

What I am describing is the way astrology was done during the medieval and rennaisance periods. If you are interested in traditional hellenistic and medieval astrology, rather than modern psychological astrology, you should check out a dude named Chris Brennan on youtube. His book is practically a college graduate course textbook on astrology and it's extremely academic and covers literally everything going back to like the dawn of astrology.

Was greek astrology purely about predicting the future?

interesting i am leo rising but the sun, my ruling planet is in capricorn conjunct saturn so i wondered if that's why i'm not blessed with the typical benefits of leo rising.
