Is there any paranormal stuff relating to Evangelion? The series and movie are filled with imagery from multiple religions, and I was interested if anyone had any information surrounding it.

Anime has a lot of reptilian energy in it.

Evangelion is an interesting case of Masonic dissemination.
There is no manga; it was designed to be an anime from the beginning.
Hideaki Ano has a sad backstory, but he is also a great artist with great sensitivity.
The question here is why the control groups decided to place all their symbolism in an anime that they didn't know would be a success.
Was Anno a Freemason even before releasing Evangelion? Perhaps. Didn't they expect it to become a cultural phenomenon and include their energy symbols anyway?
Did Freemasonry intervene in the film The End of Evangelion, completely changing the ending of Sinji abandoning his depression?

The Japanese were into a lot of occult stuff, which includes Freemasonry. A lot of anime pre 2007 had this imagery. Helps that Shrooms were easy to get your hands on up until around 2002. Anything that uses theaters for example is a dead giveaway.

I always assumed that the lore was that humans are actually the villains but they don't even know it, and that the "angels" were more or less biblically accurate, sent by God to destroy the "humans" because they were actually nephilim (angel/human hybrids). We're meant to root for Shinji and the others and hope the EVAs can defeat the angels, but no one knew why exactly the impacts happened in the first place, which I assume was God's wrath on the corrupted human species like the flood.
But hey, that's just a theory, a lame theory.

The anime has a lot of religious connections, especially to Adam, dead sea scrolls, etc. Seale I assumed we're based on the 7 seals in the book of revelations, and the members who originally wanted Gendo to use the EVAs to defeat the angels turned on him. Tho we aren't told why they betrayed him in the movie, I'd like to think they wanted the third impact to happen since they seem to be "enlighted" like the illuminati and thought the world needed a reset so they can become one with each other through the primordial soup. From their perspective, the whole EVA and Gendo expirement with Rei was just a test, and they really just wanted to end the world.

Anyway, you'd definitely find more answers on the anime thread, or yt religious connotations to Evangelion (I think a priest made videos about the symbolism and delves into it more)

Apparently each reboot and incarnation of the series is canon as well. Cycles of guilt and all that. Sort of like Big O.

Like another anon said, Japan loves its symbolism.

Their language is still steeped in symbolism. Unlike the alphabet us english speaking fucks have today, Japan still writes with what's not too different from hieroglyphics. Their characters represent recognizable shapes and concepts. So when they research mythology and history, they're drawn to the MEANING behind symbols.

Anno has said that all of the religious stuff was just there because it was cool and you know it's true because all of the abrahamic iconography and pararells are used very retardedly.
All of the obscure things within evangelion come from all of the predictive programming shit. All of their most important characters became realities for the people of our era. The whole subtext about a society detached from the love of their parents and thus creating hollow indivuals that would forever dream of returning to the womb was pretty spot on
