does anyone know why my APNG animation does the camera shake during an orbit? i typically just spin a character's root for turntables with a static camera but i wanted to try something else in case i wanted static directional lighting. i'm guessing this is an issue with interpolation/easing or something but i really don't want to wait another 2.5 hours to see if that's the correct fix.

Yeah im guessing you were controlling the camera with the view port controls and keying the cameras position and rotation.
If you do that your camera's path wont be a circle. More like a circularized square.
When i need to turntable and cant just rotate the character, i make a new transform node with its origin in the center of the character. Then i parent a new camera just for the turntable to that node and positionnit where it gets a good view. Rotate the transform node that is the oarent of the camera and the camera will trace a perfect circle.

how did you make this? camera on a circle curve with a damped track keeping it pointed at the character?
just make an empty where you want the camera's point of rotation to be
parent the camera to it
rotate it 360d
edit the keyframes to be linear
