This is one of the worst cases of writing Oda has ever done, but no one cares about it because it's such a brief moment and it's Caesar. The logic is that Caesar is evil so Caesar is happy about Ohara. He's a mad scientist who will ultimately go behind the back of the government who hired him. He wouldn't care about the lives of the people on Ohara, but he would be feeling a lot of trepidation. A better scene would be if he was angry about Clover, instead of happy, but his thought bubble was him thinking about how to play his own cards right.

Buggy's constant failing upwards has been great. It's why Oda is Toriyama's true successor despite writing a very different manga with different priorities over a fighting shonen base layer. Buggy is Mr.Satan but with politics. He's got to have a big role to play in the end. It's a joke but not only a joke. This gets missed in 99% of discussion of One Piece in the world being about hype moments and lore.

I really don't know what's the people problem with Koby. It's like people can't read.

Hentai translation depends on context. It means change from the norm, perverted, transform and so on. When Franky shouts "Hentai" he means he's going to transform for example to his centaur mode when he was fighting against Nero on top of the train. Nero nods to that because to him Franky is strange/pervert, so the joke is he's acknowledging the pervert meaning of Franky's "hentai" while Franky is meaning "transformation".

As Vegapunk said in his speech, he has a theory of what it could be given all the Poneglyph records he has studied. He couldn't, however, make sense what the World Government was and what the Ancient Kingdom was because
>Ancient Kingdom wrote their story before being annihilated. Their works unable to be destroyed and thus made illegal to study
>The World Government has no material or proof of what really happened and kill anyone who asks
Vegapunk understands because Roger followed the stones to Laughtale. As well, Robin never read what Clover did as she only just passed the exam and learnt the language herself through peeking. Vegapunk has read it due to the records being saved and kept at Elbaf thanks to Saul in a Library that hopefully doesn't catch fire and cucks Robin again

If you can imbue objects to make them stronger at a task (dps/tank: swords/arrows) then applying the same logic to wind knots also works. It really extends to everything. This is the flaw. It's nen imbuing but without the random occurrences of people unaware that they're haki imbuing stuff. Grant even in HxH, people randomly imbuing stuff is really rare and only brought up to show that YOU CAN DO IT.
For what ever reason, in both universes people only imbue stuff on purpose when the plot demands.
It never made sense that only swords could be made 'black'. It's energy storage.

They sync up once every day. They read the note two days prior to current events, so that's at most 2 syncs. Even then, by the time they read it, all the actors are in place. Kizaru and Saturn are already en route, the Navy has already started their blockade and Luffy & co. are already on the island. Nothing changes even if York knows they're up to some shenanigans. It may even be a somewhat self-fulfilling prophecy in that they planned for the post-note-reading sync to trigger York to take action/to force her hand. She knows that they're up to something, she knows that they know that the government knows about their research, but she also knows they don't suspect her since Vegapunk's a terrible liar/actor, so there's not really anything she can do to them without blowing her cover early.

Much, much better than wano. Some great moments and characters, but it felt a bit disjointed at times. Zoro v Lucci was weirdly dragged out, Vegapunks death didn’t hit the characters like it should’ve etc. But Kuma’s and Bonneys story more than makes up for the other issues.

Excellent overall. Suffers a bit from not giving all the SHs much to do but that's par for the course. Other than that, Kuna's flashback is some of the very best of OP, the heightening of stakes is very well done, Kizaru steals the show in multiple ways and it still has the trademark OP charm through it all.

I really doubt the Ancient Kingdom is gonna turn out to have been evil.
Because that would make Joyboy/Nika evil and mean that Luffy inherited his will from someone evil and is using evil powers.
Even if Luffy himself is doing it for good, I can't imagine Oda wanting to muck it up with so much moral ambiguity after making the conflict increasingly black and white over the years.

It was pretty good. Loved the entire segment with the Gorosei. Kuma's flashback was probably the best in OP and Kuma is a contender for my favorite character in the series.
Anything would have felt good after Wano, but I think Egghead is also just good by general One Piece standards.

Yeah a lot of people are just trying to make sense of it but this Oda just trying to justify his "twist", erasing their memories didn't matter but it was necessary so every could act surprised that York is the traitor.
There are hundred of ways that the could have taken to deal with York and this was one of the most stupid, as Wano showed us, things can only happen if the strawhats are there.
Oda clearly has a plan but the execution sometimes feels forced

This is also a reminder that every high level character has pretty much all stats maxed out, even if they don't look like it. Kuzan managed to hold his own in a fist fight with garp, and Kizaru carries a bunch of steel beams like it's nothing even though they are both lanky dudes that have overpowered devil fruits. Same with Big Meme or Koido who look sluggish and bulky but are still super fast

Then again, I always like the non-formulaic arcs, of which Egghead is just one. Most arcs involve Luffy invading an island and defeating a boss who has control of that territory. The exceptions are usually the most interesting arcs because they are less predictable and more chaotic things can happen. Impel Down and Marineford were great arcs because of that.

>It is designed to support small villages, after all.
Does this mean that, 700 years ago, someone issued the order to build those bridges/megastructures with the rising sea level in mind? Did the group that kickstarted the Wolf project intend for those structures to save lives or simply to provide a convenient transportation alternative for the world's rulers after the seas had risen? In the same vein that many (all?) islands are part of a larger, sunken, mega-continent, are the Wolf-structures meant to be the new islands of the future, or the landmass of the future, where every village/Wolf is a separate nation but still connected to the rest?

Nothing? Not so sure.
/pol/ being revived the day after moot met epstien? But the rest is basically what's been assumed minus direct naming.
Not like anything can happen, it's effectively hearsay without any bodies, the prostitution side is also iffy because you'd have to prove they weren't willing teen whores, and were in fact slaves/kidnaps/coercion etc. Wasn't Maxwell jailed for playing madam (the the go between for clients and her teen prostitutes) anyway?
Yeah it's the wrong thread for this, sorry. But it's pretty topical with OP. You can see elites do things, but can't/won't act because a class under them are willing dogs to protect their masters because they get their own benefits.

Actually, I guess the question would be "when did this happen" instead.
A month ago relative to what? The Egghead incident? Straw Hats reaching Elbaf?
My initial assumption was that we were going back in time just to show this scene, but if it takes place between the two arcs, it'd make more sense.

The effective assault on the CD's is one of my favourite parts of this chapter. 1100 chapters in and it really makes it feel like we're in the endgame, it's that unprecedented
one of my favourite parts of this arc, i also love how every arc has this kind of wider world development

egghead and the coming arc are sort of that, plus decks of the world, but is it really enough at this point

>thought they stopped for a compelling reason
>they stopped so they could get a ride to get weapons to keep killing each other
yeah it's manly but they already burned a giant's generation doing this. that's like being in a nife fight for 25 years and stopping becase your knives broke to go buy some more. if they had been around instead of trying to hold their pride together it's possible none of the events in elbaph would have happened
