After spending several nights with big d chalia, I have to say I really enjoy the soft microfiber that Bandai uses and it's kind of fun to make the arms hug you back. You can use it as a pillow and sleep on it because the way the body shape is curved it fits right around your neck.
They make quite a few of these big ones from a few different series with both genders so I actually recommend it. I will say that they did kind of cheapen out with the stuffing and it could be filled a bit more to make it firmer. You can also just seam rip a side and stuff more in as well. It won't get rid of my memory foam daki or giant Pikachu wedge plush but it is a nice alternative.

If you order from this series (higeyasura) highly recommend sending it black ship so they can vacuum pack it otherwise shipping is going to be ridiculous expensive.

I usually break them up and put them away and later sell them for a fraction of what I paid unless it's a picture I really like. It's annoying to find the right size frames here and 1000 piece ones take up a lot of wall space that I would rather use for a tapestry that looks cleaner.

I've recently moved with around 200 scales. Managed it without a single strand of hair breaking.
Just get a whole lot of bubble wrap from the hardware store.
The trick is to cut a long piece as wide as the figure is tall and carefully roll the figure up into it like a scroll, then arrange them all in larger cardboard boxes, like those that come from amico, so that everything is supported and fragile parts are not under pressure.
Also, take the boxes in your own vehicle, I wouldn't trust movers with something so fragile and expensive
