Tsubasa is the new commander of Song, replacing Genjuro, and while she doesn't have a relic anymore that doesn't mean she can't fight if she has to. Maria tried to do spy shit and got SONG some useful information but is now in superjail. Hibiki and Miku are in deep cover with new identities because of their status as being purified of the curse of Balal and how that makes them a target for being kidnapped for experiments. DMJii show up in season 2 to help teach the new gears how to do stupid combo attacks.

After the new gear team is established, one of their missions can be a rescue mission to break Maria out of superjail.
Once she is free, Maria has no place to go because she's been in prison for years and lost her apartment. She ends up crashing with Tsubasa at her place, which Tsubasa begrudingly allows until Maria is back on her feet.

A running joke for the rest of the series is that Maria is bumming it up in Tsubasa's place and Tsubasa asking when Maria is going to move out.

If you want to give NR an arc that ends in a kind of redemption, the best way to do it is to make it partial.
After everything thats happened in the show, have Elsa realize that she's on the wrong side. Yes, NR were the results of inhumane experiments that turned them into freaks. Yes, they have been wronged and abused. Yes, what was done to them was terrible.
But Vanessa was one of those same scientists doing the experiments until she wound up on the wrong side of an accident. She was an abuser from the start. And Milaarc hurts people, a LOT of people, with entirely too much joy when she does it. These are not people that regret their actions, just consequences. Elsa may, in fact, be a good person in a bad situation... but Vanessa and Milaarc despite being her found family are NOT innocent or good people. They are monsters, not because of their bodies but because of their choices.

The only sensible kind of redemption for Noble Red is for Elsa to realize that her family is in the wrong and betray them at a key moment, because out of the three of them she's the only one with a conscience who can see they have gone too far.
