Yeah, you have so many important plot hooks that could be used. The sphere itself, Regto, Angels, Anima, the other guys that were with Canis, Canis himself, watchman series, the fucking giga nigga sitting on the ground. Enjin- I didn't think about it, but that is truly suspicious. Same with Kuro/Corvus.
But he had to use the literally worst subject when in the very same chapter we have flashback to Zanka trying to protect his friends (including Rudo). Fucking hell, by this point they had multiple life-and-death fights that created incredibly strong bonds. It could have worked, but like 100 chapters ago.

this is just a symptom of mymo being possibly the worst antagonist the series has had so far, he's intentionally childish, shallow and self centered, the issue is he's just not "cool" enough to get away with being that archetype, so he's just boring, because the audience has already seen other antagonists with personal ties to all the mysteries of the setting, so having a guy who's just an asshole for the fuck of it is LAME

Yeah, Mymo is a fucking mistake. Big Bad involved into multiple plotlines turns out to be some literally who radio host that we heard about once or twice in the series and that was in the background from some random radio/tv too.
Then his super intelligence turns out to be elementary student-tier "nuh uh" argument.
His super threatening god mode also got ultra lame with the mouth appearing. He also brings some two random retards as guards. Especially the barrier guy is strange, as we were expected to somehow care about his love letters or whatever and his loyalty.
Literally the most important people this arc are Gountess/TooLily, then you have the perfect girl, hell guard/cleaners, possibly hand nigga/raiders lurking in the background and then you have Mymo IMHO

Art, aesthetics and choreography is pretty good. Story might or might not be interesting depending on how much the setting interests you.

It's pretty good. The art is sharp and expressive, the world is an interesting kind of fucked with mysterious details drip fed through the arcs, and the cast is colorful and goofy. Action is good, power system is vague enough to have wiggle room and keep tension between character matchups, and the sky's the limit for power variety since everything is built on whatever specific attachment a character has developed towards an item.

Maybe the strangest thing about it is how unnaturally understanding people are towards each other. It's kind of jarring at times.

Would it be safe to assume Season 2 of the anime would reach this arc? It did cover almost 90 chapters. I know it's currently ongoing but who knows how long the next season will drop. Plus there's not exactly that much content between end of Season 1 and where we are now. Unless they did a 12-episode season.
Seeing that big uppercut, and really this fight in general, as really made me want to see it animated.
