Alita has a lot of fights that ride that line of stupid and awesome. Unfortunately its core story (Alita specifically) is often just plain stupid.

These two first fight in Gash Bell.
>They suprised Kiyomaru and lock him up in his own house
>Can't find the book to win the battle by burning it
>Make a plan to fool the Gash when they arrived to find the book
>Folgore dips out cause he wants to hit on japanese women
>Almost fools Gash cause he is dumb as hell
>Kiyomaru breaks out and hits Kanchome
>They have to wait for Folgore to came back after 2 hours
>2 FUCKING HOURS
>Folgore arrives and start to dance a song about squezzing boobs

>The first starts and Folgore gets one shotted
>Gets revived by Kanchome's singing
>Gets one shotted again
>Keep on this loop till Folgore can't keep getting up and starts to surrend
>Kanchome gets angry and starts to eat sweets
>They get a power mid surrend

This was so surreal when I first read it that I questioned what the author was smoking while writting this fight. These two are the best. There might be even stupider fights like this one >>285797911 or in Bucky, but this one is my all time favorite one.

I think Alita is just a dumping ground for his ideas. Especially after he finished the story in the PS1 game. He probably wanted to write short stories like the sci fi pulp magazine greats but manga isn't a place for that format so he has to tie them into Alita.

There was literally no reason for that to happen. It just felt like homosexualhomosexual wanted to discrete of a character HE MADE out of spite.

Pretty much everything in Hunter x Hunter, the power "system" is laughably bad, terribly executed and horribly devised. The fights are complete nonsense.

It's from Last Order, the follow-up series to the original. Surprisingly it DOES answer questions I thought they were never going to acknowledge. It expands the scope of the world really well too and keeps up the trend of dogshit self-sabotage writing followed immediately by some of the coolest shit I've seen in a book.

I love it as much as I hate it.
