Pic related could very well be a translation error cause Shien's actual reply is "And how, pray tell, would I carry you in that (loli) form?" reffering to her using the body altering drug. So it could very well be Mode saying something like "You're not a kid..." both as a question and as a statement and not "I'm not a kid" while squishing Shien's cheek as a confirmation.

姿 is quite versatile. It's very easy to interpret it simply as physical form (appearance), but more not so straightforward meanings are also applicable, like observable physical state or posture.

What I went with was that 姿 meant how Mode is pinching Shien's cheeks here instead of wrapping her arms around her shoulders, which would make it very hard and annoying to carry her.

Now, 子供じゃない can also be interpreted as referring to either position, so

is a valid interpretation, and I cannot 100% say I definitely made the correct call.

I took a lot of time deliberating over just these 2 lines and the choice was made based on how I read the flow of the scene and a few other things.

(1) Mode is the haughty pampered ojou character that likes being in a high position, physically and metaphorically. She always climbs on and settles down on high places or on top of people (Tama excluded) and she sees herself as Shien's equal (author's own words)

(2) The flow is a quip between the two. Mode looks to be sulking/skeptical before accepting Shien's back as the replacement.
The pinch is also playing into this. Why would she pinch her if she's not in kid form? It's not necessarily out there, but it'd be vague motivationally and Mode is not the type to get physical over something she can observe, but she can be vindictive when it's about her status

(3) Would Mode call Shien a "kid" even when she transformed to be small? I don't think so because that would kind of undermine (1), though it is not impossible

It's possible I read too much into a very simple exchange, but I believe it's vital to read more into the flow of action and reaction on the page since this manga has been very heavy of this style of storytelling.

And for the pinch, as I said, she could have just had an urge to pinch Shien's cheek to confirm that it's actually adult Shien and not an illusion/fake/etc. And as for number 3, read the first sentence. If she sees herself as Shien's equal, what's stopping her from being less formal with her and calling Shien a kid?

The important points I want to point out are

(1) Mode views her and Shien as equals, while Shien has been acting like her mom, especially this chapter

(2) Mode is an introvert/autist around people, or at least she is in the present, so overtly physical contacts would have deliberate meanings/strong emotional attachments, not whims. And I strongly believe he is drawing with a lot of thoughts put into any action

(3) Mode knows Shien is not a kid, in essence about maturity. Calling her a kid would be admitting she herself is immature (which she kinda is, but she's in denial about it as a character trait). It could be Mode referring to her small form that way, but still, Mode knows she's not a kid to begin with so a size descriptor would be more likely if so, even more so that Mode is the size of a child herself. Calling someone you view as equal a kid because "it's less formal" is just a weird thing to say.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but assumptions should be grounded in what we can infer rather than coming up with convenient guesswork.
