Deku was solid overall, but there was definitely some wasted potential. These new "Deku" clones lack the inner thoughts of what made Deku at the start very compelling and also an All Might. MHA worked because it had an interesting world, good character designs, soulful art, an honest heartfelt and upbeat message and a cast of intriguing characters. Self-harming yourself and being a good person doesn't automatically mean success and it seems the author of Kinato and suprisingly Under Doctor despite being a protege of Horikoshi which seems like a curse at this point don't understand. You need a basis for these types of stories.
