srsly I'r requesting someone gimme an archive of this artists patreon, they're called NABIFLEX and they did bondage work last year that I wanna get my hands on.

He made some sort of contest or raffle where the winner has their OC cameo in his new comic
Then the cameo ended up being "kek they get violently beaten and murdered", which he deliberately kept secret from the prize winner. Imagine thinking your fav artist is gonna draw a lewd of your OC, and then you check out the post and she's being tortured to death.
When people complained, both because of that's a dick move to the winner and the out-of-nowhere graphic snuff in their porn comic, he sent passive aggressive replies to literally every single negative comment. I also saw plenty of posts on discord around this time talking about their negative experiences commissioning him.

tldr: basically he was just an asshole

ReptileEye was always a dick; I imagine it's because old DA could be toxic with people pestering for free requests, but he was also a damn good artist.
Unfortunately, he managed the PR of the event so poorly because he answered people the same way he answered the "free request" kids. Once everyone brought up all the dirty laundry of being a pain to deal with in commissions.
He went scorched earth and uprooted his DA account and move to Pixiv, ending with only a fraction of the following he had.

Basically what these guys said (other than it wasn't a cameo, the comic was the entire prize). My issue wasn't with the comic itself really, it was a shitty thing to do but I could easily just ignore the violent bits and enjoy the bits I actually asked for. It was the response.

I just talked about it in a few servers I was in then overnight it blew up when everyone started commenting on the image. I then had to create a journal explaining my side because Reptile was saying things like I had actually agreed to it (I hadn't) and that I should have known that him saying "I'm adding a little twist to it ;)" meant he was planning that. Plus he then randomly added GID to it. Then got a load of abusive messages from him.

He then went on the say that the OCs belonged to him and he would keep doing more comics with them like this.

Either way, guy is a massive twat. Several other commissioners then came forward to me. One said they commissioned a very tame image with their friend of their OCs and he made it incredibly sexual despite them expressing discomfort, a few said he just straight up ignored what they asked and drew what he wanted, and finally another guy who had commissioned a ton of comics from him finally started to push back so he refused to add the speech bubbles to his comic.

What did suck for years is when I'd join a new sever and someone would always be like "oh your the person who got there OC murdered" which was always great to be known as lol

Crazy how every few months it gets brought up here so many years later

I'd say it's because it's actually quite unique and interesting as far as drama goes. Artist A doesn't like artist B or somebody doesn't respond well to criticism, those happen all the time. We're all nerds on the internet invested in fetish art of anime girls, after all.

Reptileye meanwhile, just went way out of his way to openly fuck with his own audience for no apparent reason. It stands out. It's like a bar owner promising free drinks for the regulars then deliberately messing up their orders with a smug expression.

Oddly enough through Disney in the 90s, mainly their VCD sequels Return of Jafar and The Little Mermaid ii. Return of Jafar had Jasmine shackled in Jafar's chambers for several minutes. Ariel was captured in Morgana's tentacles for an extensive period and felt it was lame that Scuttle distracted Morgana enough to loosen her tentacles and let Ariel escape, like awww the scene could have been even longer. When I was young I used to boot up and replay these scenes when my family was either asleep or out of the house, sneak watching, feeling guilty and confused why I was so fixated on them. And it was a time before Youtube, coz now these DiD can be simply and easily searched up, but back in those days had to use VCD or DVD.

Believe me, a JPG with slight compression will look 99% as good while taking 1/4th of disk space. Think of the little people without Fanbox bucks who may not have infinite storage.

And for the love of God, you don't need that grain filter. It doesn't even look that good and it triples the file size.
