The more I lose my hair the more self-conscious I get. Can any anons who went through this tell me how they got past the mental block and were able to be happy?

The only thing that made it better was getting older, because then nobody really expects you to have perfect hair even if it's still nice to have and still enhances your looks. The true death sentence is hair loss when you still pass for being in your 20s imo. Sucks either way, I am preemptively planning on getting a transplant when I'm 40 just so I don't have to think about it anymore

Make it part of your style.

This is why “just shave it” is such common advice bro. Rip the bandage off instead of going through this slow mental anguish.
If you can’t accept that or your head is lumpy or whatever then get yourself a wig and some hats and cover it up

Heat up a mix of grounded coffee beans, onions, and rice. Then filter the water out into a small shampoo bottle, cool it and apply the water to your scalp for about 10 minutes before every time you shower. It smells bad though until you wash it, so you can try mixing it with coconut oil in the bottle to neutralize the smell while also giving some needed nutrients to your hair. Should see some results after 1 month, but may vary.
Otherwise, just grow a beard and shave your head like everyone else, dumbass

Thats a good point. I'm 34, so im approaching the age where its not completely unexpected, but being around my friends who are younger and older than me with full heads of hair makes me feel inferior.
I think its generally because I haven't achieved the major milestones in life at this point and im essentially at the same 'life level' as people 10 years younger than me. When my dad lost his hair, he already had a wife, 4 kids, a house, and a high paying job, so it really didnt matter anymore. I'm still single, living in an apartment, barely making above the US average pay. I'm basically still "competing" for women the same as guys in their 20s are.

I do have a kind of lumpy tall/wide frankenstein head, with a norwood pattern close to Joss Whedon in my first pic. he's able to make it work, but I'm not quite mentally ready to do the shaveoff, but time will eventully force me to do it
