Maybe. I have a very happy, content life though and my only issue currently is around stable work (which is my problem because of panic attacks). I did have instability in my early formative years, but I am aware of this and accept it. It's not something paying a shrink $200 a hour is going to magically resolved. I can only try to ensure this is not a factor for the next generation.
Your advice is not wrong, but it is also unrealistic. I could fix my panic attacks/anxiety by making my world very small, and avoiding work and society. I see reality for what it is due to my life experiences, and once you do this would make anyone live in perpetual anxiety. You can't put this genie back in the bag, you can only try create an environment where the next generation does not ever learn it or have to experience it.
In generations gone past, like a good majority of Men, I probably would just become a reclusive drunk until 55 then die of a heart attack. Fortunately, we now have alternative solutions which can at least improve the quality of life of someone, so generational trauma is not created. Medication can and does fix panic attacks/OCD. SSRIs do this. You want to avoid reliance on such things, but realistically this can only be done during development years. This is very well established through most of history, you mould an adult in their youth. Adults can change their lifestyle, but to change their psyche is very difficult outside of extreme external changes. It's why therapy and self-help is such a lucrative industry for adults. Your selling a cure for something that can't actually be cured - only managed. People often can't afford the sacrifices required to manage such a condition: they need to work a shitty job or suffer insane family members to put food on the table.
