Maybe get a less stressful job and/or try something like BJJ or MMA?

Just ride a bicycle.

I ride my motorbike daily. Daily rider. Motorcycles are about 30x more dangerous than cars in the US, but you can greatly mitigate this by just a few simple steps: helmet, no alcohol while riding, gear, avoid drunk-driving times (late late night). With these alone + assuming no one else can see you ever, you're down to like 4x more dangerous than a car. Then you could play it safe by never speeding or full throttle etc., but that's unrealistic and unfun.
It's worth it for me.

I had several accidents. a couple of drops, a couple of slides, someone jumped a lane on me.

Wrong reason for riding if you're pinning the throttle. Go on track days for that.

A new job is out of the question. And I do find the one I have fulfilling, even if I hate it at times.

Do you ride a Z900? The Z900RS looks cool to me. My last one was a Street Triple, and I can't decide whether I want to go full-blown sport bike or just get another naked bike. Having a boxing match with the wind every time you go highway speeds got kind of old.

My favorite part of riding was just the adventure of it. I learned how to ride in Okinawa, and I really took for granted just how much fun that place was to explore. You could ride up the east coast of the island and back down the west coast in about six hours, and it was loaded with twisty jungle roads and long stretches right on the water.

I do want to get into track days though, always have. The problem is logistics and money though, I'd need a different car that could tow a bike and gear, hotels add up if you don't camp at the track, the extra gear you'd need costs a lot initially, and if you crash you're paying for everything out of pocket since insurance companies don't cover anything track related.

I ride a Z650. I plan on upgrading to a 900cc+ within 1-3 years. And yes, the retro style is pretty awesome.
I don't find the wind that big a deal anymore. Neck got used to it. And you can always install a windshield. Plus the naked riding position is pretty comfortable.
