Cute pic but not the one. It looked kinda like picrel
It was sniffing the ground and kinda bent back with its butt lifted upwards.

I have trapped five raccoons and drove them far away from my house so they dont get to my chickens.
I imagine they are always incredibly confused when i let them out of the trap

>>5071607
Yes its a wonderful experience
>>
There is a yearling coon who likes to rest on his back in my back yard, like a little fat man at th beach. I’ve seen him several times. You flip on the back porch light to go do the laundry or get something out of the freezer, and he’s laying there with his forelimbs flung out on either side of him looking at you. If I ever get a pic of him I’ll post it here as proof.

I have no idea WTF he’s doing. Moonbathing, maybe.

i wish i had (more) racoons in my country :(
>>
>>5074205
Sorry coonfrien
>>
>>5073443
>raccoons are self domesticating
>tfw can't import them in my country let alone keep them as pets
The only way would be emigrating to the US, and that ain't happening either.
>>
>>5074205
what's stopping you from importing enough raccoons into your country to establish a stable breeding population?
>>
>>5070183
He can't even SEE the ROAD. He is going to CRASH and FUCKING DIE because he's also too SMALL for the seatbelt.
>>
>>5073491
Why would it do that?

I know raccoons can eat basically anything but are there any foods I shouldn’t give them?
>>
>>
>>5076107
I actually dont know? I know cat food is bad for them long term
>>
>>
>>5075259
Scippie always looks like he's about to cry.
>>
>>5072349
I have, its very pleasant, very tiny leathery hands.
They're agile too. One gave me a fist bump, the other just sat there with his hand layed in mine. They are very sweet animals.
>>
>>5077371
Its a uniquely beautiful experience having them trust you enough to eat from your hand 10/10 would reccomend
>>
>>
Henlo, racoon frens. I went on a walk this morning and I found these prints on a frosty board. They look like coon prints to me.
Am I right? It was far enough away from my house that I think I could leave him some treats. What do these little guys like best?
>>
>>5069033
I like cats, dogs, raccoons, deer, bears, possems, bunnies, squirrels and most of all, foxes. People, on the other hand, are more miss than hit for me.
>>
are cats and raccs brothers?
>>
>>5078309
100% raccoon prints
they like to kill chickens for fun, if you have chickens you have to make the coop raccoon-proof as well as hawk- and coyote-proof.
hell my dad had a weasel get into his chickens and kill a few.
>>
>>5078309
Indeed the prints of a wonderful critter. My little cooners love grapes and nuts, but they are not picky
>>
>>5078353
In the streets, no, not usually, both kill each other on occasion, and are too skittish to be chill with each other most of the time.
But people have gotten birds, mice and cats to hang around without the cat automatically going into murder mode, raccoons won't be too difficult.

Eepy racc

Why are raccoons unable to NOT cause mischief?
>>
>>5079974
Came here to post this.
>>
>>5080132
>Why are raccoons unable to NOT cause mischief?
Because they have, by some miracle, survived on a natural instinct of
>what if I did ________?
And it apparently works out most of the time.

>>5080181
>>5080132
>>5079974
Wonderful critters
>>
>>5073443
This was debunked btw
>>
>>5080740
Say it ain't so
>>
>>5080902
Yes and no, its a misleading headline. Basically, raccoons are adapting to urban conditions, but that doesn't mean they are "domesticated". So no smashed and slammed raccys thankfully.

Fat fucks
>>
>>5083251
NO THEY ARE NOT WE ARE JUST FUZZY FOR THE WINDER NOOOOO
>>
>>5080982
Adapting to living near humans is the first step to domestication and smashslammification
>>
a coyote tore apart a raccoon outside my home last night :(
>>
>>5080982
Why would the urban environment select for shorter snouts, tho? I understand that when you move from foraging to raiding trashcans a long snout loses utility, but i don't see how it becomes disadvantageous to the point of being selected against
>>
>>5083735
RIP...
>>
You know with their gripping capabilities, high intelligence, and quick breed cycle raccoons would be the an optimal animal for uplifting.
>>
>>5084152
Raccs would take over the world and enslave humanity if they were uplifted.
>>
>>5069033

I for one welcome our cuddly masked overlord.
>>
>>
>>5078353
The cats I take care of and the local raccs are low level accepting of each other but not bros. They usually won't fuck with each other and just kinda keep an eye on the other while they do their own thing.
>>
>>5078353
I don't think they like each other, but raccs are just too polite so cats rarely start shit with them.

You still didn't get it, unfortunately
>>

but the hajis look like jam jars when they wear it?
>>

Jarhead is slang for US marines because of their standard haircut

picrel its also a decent movie
>>
>>5090384
the haji looks more like a jar than a zogbot with a dickhead haircut
>>

when will raccoons realize they can use their hands for making tools?

I'm listed as an author on that paper. It was a bioinformatics course doubling as a paper mill. Which I don't really mind, except that I have no confidence in our professor's understanding of statistics or validity. She was quite open about how bad she is at math.

Cross postan from the webm thread, imagine having a racc bro as a tradie. It would be absolute dimes
>>
>>5095173
that racc died on a workplace accident involving one of those because stupid owners thought internet likes were worth risking the life of the little bandit. Hell, in the full version of that video you can see how he is almost crushed by a cinderblock

Well fuck. Should have known there can't be anything nice
