Apparently stiletto snakes (the snake in OP) are a nightmare even for snake handlers because they can just flick their fangs out without even opening their mouth, they're extremely nervous in behavior and, despite it not being necessarily fatal, there's no antivenin for it avaliable.

Not sure if these count as fangs

Looks like some kind of fish.

how does someone come to /an/ and not know a single fucking thing about animals? I don't blame >>5095219
for not knowing what it is precisely, but to confidently claim it's a fish is absurd.
>>5095219
It's a stiletto snake.

It has one of the most painful bite of any snake species. It can show its fangs with its mouth closed, and thrash its head back to stab you, potentially multiple times, injecting venom every time. Grabbing it by the head like any other snake is ineffective, and it can trivially inject you with venom from that angle. There are reports of people writhing in pain for days from a single bite. I remember one story of a man biting straight through a plastic spatula someone gave him for the pain, then biting through another, and his friends buying multiple from a store because he kept going through them.
So, uh, have fun, lol.

I was just trying to be funny by making an obviously false classification and making a joke about how it kinda looks like a fish.
>>
>>5095268
Looks like a lungfish to me. Or one of those "rope fish" they have at the pet store sometimes.

>>5095281
ok you get a pass
>>
>>5094297
without googling it or whatever, what's the difference between a fang and a tusk?
>>
>>5097311
not much, the only real difference is tusk sticks out of the mouth

All the animals in this thread? INACCURATE and OUTDATED. Their teeth would dry up and break off
