I took out 50,000 in credit card loans to buy lottery tickets, but it’s okay cause I have enough cash to keep making minimum payments till 2027.

Exactly. Brokies don't know how to lose money. Michael Saylor is the king of losing money. He held his own stock literally 99.9% down and is still a billionaire.

How is Saylor any worse than Blackrock owning about the same amount?

Blackrock owns it on paper only. Their clients own the ETFs, which in turn own the Bitcorn.

Is that different from MicroStrategy? I assume the stockholders have some similar claim on the bitcoins that it holds. Why else would they buy the stock

Investors in Blackrock, the company itself, have no claim to the assets under management. So when people tell you Blackrock owns everything because they have $12 trillion in assets, that doesn’t mean anything. They manage the assets, and investors who use their services can pull the plug at any time.
But Microstrategy straight up owns 5 percent of bitcoin right now.
