>SCHD return is equal to my VOO return
The fuck?

Normie retail investors flight to dividend "safety" in SCHD but they don't know it can go down. They think SCHD is just a high interest MMA basically. However, if enough normies pile into SCHD the underlying assets are temporarily pumped regardless of underlying performance.
But.
When quarterly reports start hitting it will fall back to reality.

I’m just curious really
Not too interested in dividends right now I realized so I stopped going into it, was an early investment
>>61779161
Based SCHD-chan poster

That’s coming up in March isn’t it? Seems to be one of the things that holds it back, missed out on a year of tech holdings
>>
>>61779254
>oh le no, how could a dividend focused etf possibly survive missing out on a year of no dividends from non-dividend-paying tech stocks? le horreur!
>>
>>61779254
ok. i have a likely or possible answer for you. As tech is overvalued & butchered, money goes into value stocks, or thinggs that actually make sense financially. You'l l likely see quality div stocks and "boring" stocks outperforming, as well as non-us markets

Tbh I’ve been wondering if investing in international ETFs is worth it over VOO, entirely but a split

Not a bad idea if you think China is gonna start slaughtering on an economic level.

majority is energy and consumer staples with tech only making up 8%. i love schd and am in 6 figure bliss

Is there any point in investing in SCHD while young?
To bank on solid dividend growth?
Otherwise why not go full on portfolio growth and then later sell and purchase a dividend etf / group of stocks
>>
>>61785247
Theres no such thing as growth, the stock market is a zero sum game.

He can't comprehend your words.
>stonks only go up! Tech go up mostest!

I bought more last night. But Walmart is the crown jewel of my IRA at this point. I wish I had bought a lot more back when I bought in 2018 or whatever.
>>
>>61779087
AI fatigue is starting to set in so the tech sector has stalled.

Maybe on planet retard

it's a good long term savings account. obviously if the entire market takes a shit you're fucked. at the rate we're investing we'll retire and live off the divvies in 10 years at 45
