Well desu because even though Japan today is the land of the nice, lowkey xenophobic people before that they shat upon china and korea for centuries bigguru timu. Its not helping that they considered all chinese, koreans and SEA asians to be less than rodents basically in every time period and that they regularly went over to china in ye olden times and fucked them in the ass for no reason and if they failed they just beat up korea on the way back.
I'm all for not punishing the children for the crimes of their grandparents and thus keeping the wheel of abuse running endlessly but man, I can kind of understand that the rest of asia has a hateboner for Japan sometimes.
