Do you ever get premade food from the grocery store? Are you shameful enough to do that?

the store near me makes these weird mushroom carnitas with king oyster or something. i dont think it would be worth it to make something like that on my own so i boughted.

There's an organic overpriced hipster grocery store near my work that has a hot bar. Once in a while I'll get some pakoras, curry and rice from there. The pakoras are some of the best I've ever had.

Also occasionally I'll get one of those premade salads if I'm feeling real tired after work but I make my own dressing.

When I went to the US for the first time going into walmart and target was absolutely shocking. Other than everyone being fat and all the cars being giant SUVs probably the biggest culture shock.

For foods for which there are 1-2 options in Europe there are dozens of different brands. There are entire isles for stuff that occupies half a shelf in our stores. I bought like 3 different types of frozen asian dumplings, a few different frozen pizzas and some other shit and it all ranged from pretty good to great. I'd 100% turn into a giant lazy lardass if I were to live there.

A good portion of it is better than the other prepackaged slop

That's a bold price for a pizza covered in presliced cheese

Yes it was super dry.

You live in eastern europe? I live im northern europe and the selections were around the same we have here. Don’t mistake your rear end country for all of europe.

Deli fried chicken, yes. I hate frying at home because of the mess it makes.

I'm french and my experience was the exact opposite. Everything was shockingly low quality I could barely find anything food to eat. Hopefully they have other options to get groceries.

When I go to Publix I grab a cup of popcorn chicken and snack on it while I go through the rest of the store. Sometimes I grab a sandwich from them too.

I like the coleslaw and potada salads, and their refrigerated pizzas are actually awesome. I'm surrounded but terrible pizza joints so this is my go to and ends up costing me 1/3 the price

Hello, lardbutts.

They can’t help themselves. Theyre designed by god to be his sex slaves.

Yeah but I think that's because French grocers stock high-quality junk food to out-compete restaurants.
The last time I went back to our home town (which admittedly is pretty small) there were only two restaurants left and one of them was the worst God damn pizza joint I've ever been to
Two decent cafeterias and a handful of bars that just sold one red wine, one white wine, Champagne, maybe some pastis or whisky, one beer, and amer because of the taxes
Oh and the pizza joint was run by "Asians" and "youths" and they didn't even make their own crusts they we brought in par-baked, I saw them in back after ordering

I'm like 175lbs, relax! It's best when it's fresh and I'm usually hungry by the time I go to the store
>>
Seven bucks gets me a pound of fried food
It's quite a deal, and incredibly unhealthy

I've spent thousands on grocery store sushi

If you include Costco and Sams Club, then sure. The chicken pot pie and shepherds pie are worth the price, I also get a fancy premade salad that has a dozen different nuts and grains mixed in.

I've walked by the grocery sushi stand, and seen the SEA/Mexican person working there and just wondered...
Who is actually buying this shit? And why?

For me, it was turning right on a red light

I used to a lot more, and in fact got a sandwich yesterday, but it was atrocious, low on meat, and packed full of dry bread. My local Kroger-owned shop has much better prices and variety, but is a terrible place to shop because of how crowded it is. My local Albertson's owned shop has shit items, is a bit more expensive, but is by far a better shopping experience.

I'm fine with getting premade shit when I go, because as a single person living alone, I'd be eating the same thing every single day if I was really trying to cook for myself, and I'd be miserable.
